  • great knifes but a missing product from C.S are protection gloves because those are really mean bad ass knifes and they won't be nice with your fingers in case of an accident.

  • @abisoxth That's why all of the new Recon I series are equipped with the strongest lock in the world ;)

  • @csknives This is a great knife - I just got myself one. What other CS folders would you recommend (blade length 4" or longer and not spring assisted)?

  • @iprovokefights Check out the 2011 Voyagers. They are (in my opinion of course) the best knives for the price in the world right now. Razor sharp, unbelievably strong and very reasonably priced. A lot of our staff carry them every day.

  • @csknives Do you guys have any stores in Australia? Unfortunately I can't find this knife here and it would be seized in customs if I ordered it from the U.S. :(

  • @iprovokefights I don't know the answer to that. Email customer services, they might be able to advise you. I know there are an awful lot of difficulties with Australian customs right now and we have suspended shipments there but they might have info about stockists within the country. Sorry I can't be of more help :(

  • oyu shold do a review on the latest humvee recon

  • That is the old recon one new new one is better

  • @rocketwilliam no shit, maybe thats cause the video was posted in 2008?

  • This knife is so epic.

  • Apparently rope mimics a shot fired from a glock 19 0:24

  • Wait...that soldier weighed 160 pounds, but they only put 150 on the hanging weight test???

  • you guys should sell the stuff you use on the video, you could make some money! lol

  • @rocafella1524

Actually there was an explanation for that on the after show they called "The Aftermath." The said the reason the tip of the knife broke was that it penetrated so deep, it actually was driven into the steel bar they had set up to hold the dummy in place. In real life, this would have actually been driven into the man's spine. If anything, it goes to show how AWESOME this knife is to be driven so deeply. It would not have broken normally.

  • This was on Deadliest Warrior :)

  • @thresler

    Really? When?

  • @fredjustsucks In the latest episode between Navy Seals and Israeli Commandos the Seals use it. They say it's by Cold Steel and if you look closely you can see the Cold Steel logo.

  • @thresler

Kool beans! lol I'm gonna show my friends my recon 1. As seen on TV :D

  • @thresler

Deadliest warrior is a retarded show that has no idea what it's talking about and stages a lot of Bullcrap. The people on it often aren't who they say they are, and the weapons they use are also crap.

SEALs don't 'use' Recon 1s. This knife isn't issued to any of our troops. Sure, our guys can buy it for themselves, but it's entirely their option.

  • @Orthrus i was thinking exactly the same thing when i saw that bullshit on deadliest warrior, just another reason why I think those guys on the show are such major shit bags!

  • @Orthrus did you also notice how the guy broke the tip of the tanto while stabbing the dummy

  • @rocafella1524

Hoah, never even noticed that. You've good some eyes man.

  • Hey is that my rucksack ....WTF my schooolbooks are in there !!

  • Sir, you just ruined a fine piece of rucksack....

...but I still vote for the knife.

  • in my collection i already have a 4" ti-lite, large tanto voyager, 3 pocket sharks, and a black talon on its way (ordered it just a few days ago)!

next, im planning on the new 2010 recon 1..... the new designs look so great.

GREAT JOB COLD STEEL! please keep it up

  • hang on, the young man was 160 pounds in weight, but then the demo shows the knife can only take 150 pounds! see the difference.

  • @olicoon Maybe they did put a lower limit for warranty issues. Usually manufacturers advertise a lower value for safety reasons.

  • Delicious pork. om nom nom

  • We in Russia, loved this knife)))

  • Makes chopping a backpack look like chopping vegetables.

  • What is a better overall stronger folder the recon 1 clip point plain or the Voyager 4 in clip point plain?

What is the better steel VG1-stainless or AUS 8A Stainless?

What is the better handle Zytel handle or G-10?

    Please message back Thanks

  • i want

  • i would totally buy one if they came in plain edge

  • they do come in plain blade

  • i like the plain edge, but tanto has been my favorite recently

  • they do come in plain edge also.

  • Love this knife!! if it was't for nutinfancy i would have never known about cold steel and their supreme knives, LOVE COLD STEEL!!!

  • 1:46 yeah, very safe lol ;)

  • found my next knife

  • I have 2 of these blades. They are amazing. They are a little to big for EDC, But i never go camping without one. For an EDC I use a Boker Magnum Automatic (Tanto) BO018. But i love the Recon 1, its my favorite knife ever.

  • nice man

  • Kershaws are mostly crap and SOG is HIGHLY overrated. I would take this over any folding kershaw or SOG.

  • I'm with you on that, man.

  • "almost nothing is a match for a recon 1". yeah? how bout a Kershaw or a SOG?

  • Wow, Hmmm. I wonder how these knives stack up against Benchmade, Spyderco, SOG, CRKT ect...Very interesting. I will defiantly have to check these out sometime.
