  • Reminds me of the T-1000 theme from Terminator 2. :D. Thx for the tutorial.

  • !!!!Come see my didgeridoo lessons

    include beatboxing with didge)

(click my nick-name to get my channel)

  • Thanks! I didn't know how to buzz. Cheers man

  • I fail at this.

  • Nice vid, thanks for helping everyone

  • Your videos are helpful and clear. Thanks for taking the time to help new folks like me.

  • is that a PVC pipe ? :))))

  • @timmy9007 its aboriginals get it right

    and to everyone else

how does someone whos not from australi get ahold of a didge easily?

  • @ofuckyoucunt

you can make one out of pvc easily yourself if you are just learning. (look on youtube to see how) or you can find some suitable timber, but you can buy one on the internet. google it...you will find many companies making and selling genuine didgeridoos in australia.

  • Thank you so much! You made me play the didj for the first time! Many thanks.

  • Do your lips need to be floppier or can everyone do this? i have a real diggeridoo and i cant make it tight like you said and relax my lips. even when i relax them, my lips are too taught to vibrate slowly.

  • @cenyan13 Hi cenyan, sorry for not replying, I don't watch this channel much. Did you learn make the drone after all? I hope so and that you are playing without problem now :)

  • @cenyan13 they don't need to vibrate slowly..just loosely..and I have very small lips.

  • this will ome in handy I just got a custom one made at an art show and i cannot wait to mix this with my psychedelic rock band :) thanks so much for this upload i will get to practicing!

  • thank you for the straightforward lesson.

  • is that just a pipe ??

  • @KizZamP92 Yes, and the best part is if you want, you can twist it into a pretzel shape.

  • Thanks man, you really inspired me to start playing. Bless you

  • very very good video my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • People that want to learn can start NOW. Not wait until they order one and it is shipped. They can go to Home Depot or Lowes and for about $7 make one just like this guy has. So I'm not sure what is "pointless" about it?

  • pointless to come here and make a post about others being pointless, unless the object is to look like a chest pumping hater.

  • Well if you're playing a piece of plastic its not a didj, and therefore is not going to make the authentic sound. Sure it can be used as a replacement but it won't be the same. That is what is pointless about it.

  • Its better to play and practice on a PVC didgeridoo than no didgeridoo. Id prefer an authentic one, but if I cant afford one, im not going to sit around and mope about not being able to enjoy playing one. Ill go make my own out of PVC pipe.

  • Nothing is pointless. What if your the best player in the world and can't afford a proper authentic? this is just as effective so don't be so single minded.

  • Hero.

  • I don't really think there's anything wrong with a PVC didge, I made one awhile ago and I still play it. I also have a Eucalyptus one, a bamboo one and a plastic and rubber Travel one. I love my PVC didge.

I think there's a difference between slapping some beeswax on a pipe and calling it a didgeridoo VS. making a well thought out quality PVC didge. Make a PVC didge that looks like a eucalyptus one ; )

  • Yes same here. I was refering to how amazing he thinks his authentic didj story is. I have a real one, well borrowed from my sis. But I also just play a 1 and half inch pipe that works wonders for the respitory system.

  • Real ones are expensive, cheap homemade ones have three advantages over real ones.

    1. Cheaper (duh?)

    2. Home made (Sense of like "Woah I made this myself.)

    3. Almost the same sound for the low price.

Granted real ones are much nicer and all but these work good too.

  • @SocktheWolf Real ones are only 200 and its disrespectful to the aboriginies

  • @timmy9007 this is very true and this is why i wish to buy one i appreciate the culture and i wish to support it

  • @SocktheWolf I found mine in the basement, some pvc pipe

  • @SocktheWolf Your third point isn't correct... It's not the same sound.

  • @DelMonteOnSteroids I know, I did say almost. They are very similar.

  • @DelMonteOnSteroids That may be a nice point! The sound is different... you can see them as different instruments... but the technique remains the same... and even if they are not eucaliptus or bubinga or some nice wood... the pvc, cardboard and any other material 'didges' are cheap, satisfying and, let's say... have a nice sound ;)

    Keep on didgin'!

  • @SocktheWolf I Absolutely agree!!!

I just made mine out of a cardboard tube, some masking tape and nitrocellulose... it sounds really sweet!

  • @SocktheWolf i bought a professional one which was key D and it was only 15 punds... thanks to my local culture shop, ahh the beauty of living in a british village great stuff for cheap prices

  • Excuse me, i made a pipe didgeridoo like you, with beewax on the top and i didn't get it because the sound wasn't good. I bought a real one and the sound was alot better

  • Diggy is made of wood that's been chew up by the termites in the centre, not bamboo. You can get those fake one which i have got one as well as the real one, and yes I am Taiwaness and you don't see many a Taiwaness male that can didgerido mate. So, I am very proud of what i am and what I can do.

  • they're made of bamboo too.

  • originally it is "made" out of eucaliptus tree wich was chewed out by termites from the inside

  • This is a pipe. With a thick rubberband attached to it.

  • i believe its beeswax

  • its beeswax lolololololol

  • a yank teaching didge... LMFAO

  • So I guess I need to go into the outback and learn from the Australian Aboriginal tribes of North Australia? Hmmm... seems to me a bit excessive, so until they start posting videos, I guess this is the best we have to go by. Guess I should learn to sing opera from the Italians as well since they are the only real experts.

  • your didge is fake... get one made o bamboo

  • that isnt a real didgeridoo...It is made outof piping...

  • you are a genious!

  • Thanks man, that lecture is very nice and very kind of you to tell..similar to my didge teacher you show in a relaxed easy manner the basics of that fascinating instrument and world.

Love and peace to all of you

    Tobias

  • i have made a dijiredoo out of a cardboard tube with a bubble wrap mouthpiece will this sound ok and do you blow like you blow into a trumpet

  • Nice video but the acoustics in your room suck.

  • Hello all. This is the first comment I have made on this channel. I haven't been watching this for over a year so a big thanks to all those who have commented with either good thoughts or constructive criticism. The fact I am using a "plastic tube" is true, but it's my right to help others start playing :) Maybe some day I will make a vid with my eucalyptus didg. Anyway, I can't satisfy everyone, but if you got some help from these vids, that's all that counts. All the best, Raghu

  • I just got my first didj in the mail today, and I'm trying to make a decent sound. I noticed that the mouthpiece on yours is quite a bit bigger than the one I have. It's just an inch n a quarter dia. I'm thinking its too small, because I can't relax my lips inside the mouthpiece. Would you suggest making it bigger? Would it make it easier to play? My little nephew was able to make a better sound with it, since his mouth fits better. Its about 48" long, with a 2.5" O.D., and is made of bamboo.

  • hey, thanks for this dude, as soon as i get home i'll grab my girlfriend's didgeridoo n blow till i get that brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound im sooo trying to hear long time ago.

    cheers

  • U sould of mention that it is no right for women to play the dij. Also if you are using a plastic pipe it is never going to sound as good as a dij. And all sound different.

  • Funny and cool video

  • that didgeridoo is to short doesnt have a deep enough sound

  • weenahz

  • cool i didnt think any1 would have a video on tryin to teach didgeridoo. Thx Man

  • Lol no offence, but you're didjeridu sounds aweful.

  • Is a 5-foot didge o.k. to use...

Also, can you help me out?

  • good job man! ;)
