Considering how hard FE6 was compared to FE7 if Roy was as bad as Eliwood the game would've been the biggest pain to beat...

I always found the Durandal somewat silly.

I mean, look at it, it´s larger then eliwood, he probably won´t be able to use it without that horse... oh, and the horse must have an amazing con, carrying both its Rider AND the freakin' huge sword (which looks like dropping it on someone is deadly).

It´s simply waaaaay to huge!

the random number god is fickle. eliwood can either be weak but fast, weak and average, or a beast in both. similarly, hector and lyn can also be victims to the RNG, but because of their specialized stats aren't impacted as much.

i never had a problem with eliwood having terrible stats. in fact, only in the beginning of the game, as a lvl 1 lord, where he does so little damage that i don't really want to use him did i think that. but when i actually leveled him up a few times, his defense was second best (next to hector's). never mind the rest of his stats, which were better than decent - that alone made him virtually invincible for me....

Eli has awesome deviating stats. My last one had maxed SPD before promotion, with godly Skill as well. The last-last one however, was failure to the point of unusable.(No kidding, he promoted at LV 13.)

well if you paired Eli with Lyn he would max out his stats no problem. because Lyn has the Affin that grows on SPD stats. Check the list of all the Affins.

I have no idea what you are saying. I don't recall supports ever increasing growth rates of characters. Yes, I know, Lyn has Wind, AND she has excellent speed, but you can't say the same for Raven, who has high Speed as well(mind you, he has ICE). Affinity/supports don't affect growth rates at all.

Also, pairing Hector with Florina does not help his speed either. Growth rates are INDEPENDENT of supports AND affinities.

The Durandal is fucking huge. If Roland was a hero, the sword would be TWICE his size. Imagine fitting that into his shield/sheath thing

Roland does not have the CON to wield Durandal. If 16 Weight was already the weight of the sword after liek 1000 years(which is most likely due to metal fatigue, its 12 Wt in SoS), what would be the weight of Durandal back then?

Yeah but ROland could've had a lot of speed. Besides, he's fighting dragons, which according to FE6 has a base stat of 2 SPD at level 1 and a growth rate of 20%. Pretty pathetic figures.

Lets just say, we assume the following:

Roland is a Hero(The class)

Time frame between Sealed Sword and Blazing Sword is 20 years

Durandal has lost 4 Wt in 20 years. This roughly translates to 200 Wt in 1000 years(NO I AM NOT KIDDING). Of course, deviations and stuff appears. Roland as hero probly only has 26 Spd(Max), so...

Of course, the Tellius AS Formula could've been used instead, but this means Roland needs to have either broken STR or SPD.

Well the thieves in Sword of Seals couldn't either, but Chad owned anyway. And Roy promoted late with about average stats before, but he comes out okay

And he makes for it by having the Sword of Seals do ridiculous damage to the final boss of Fire Emblem 6. He has a very good chance of 1-rounding her if he has at least 20 speed.

Eliwood is really good.

so what if the Durandal weighs more than fuck? every other weapon Eliwood can use is super light, and with that +5 strength special, the Durandal hits harder than Armads in arena battle.

let's not forget that the Durandal is also extremely accurate a weapon for how hard it hits, unlike Armads.

I'm not saying Armads is in any way a bad weapon, but jeez, the Durandal is incredible.

to me,lyn's only use afterwards is a bow,because her sol katti(at most) with maximum stats(I even hacked her to her full potential if possible)and she only did like 8 damage each attack,in which she totals it up to 16 with both hits,while hector on the other hand got 29(i AM serious)and could attack twice with armads,i think lyn got ripped off the most,but thats my opinion

The diffrence being that Eliwood here changes into, basically, a Cavalier or an FE8 Paladin upon promotiong, and the FE8 lords each promote into half a Cavalier each. :p

the reason is is that this dude was severely undertrained and didn't do the chapter 30 thing where you wait until around turn 25 or something like that, and then lots and lots of enemies come around over and over again for about 15-20 turns i'm guessing. (you can't kill limstella either before turn 25 of that chpt, or else no one will come)

Nergal actually brought some of the games bosses back to life in that chapter, so you have to kill them one at a time.

well you get eliwood on chapter 11 but he does not have his horse. if u are on 13x u must have him as he automatically joins at 11 (he is the main character!) he gets upgraded to a Knight Lord (when hes on a horse at the end of chapter 27, regardless of what level he is.

That's a special Critical Attack Eliwood does as a Knight Lord. Durandal isn't needed but any sword he equips looks like it. Pretty sweet watching--I like it better than Roy's XD
