I forgot that Heath and Kate were named after the characters in Wuthering Heights and of course their names were Catherine and Heathcliff. I should have just said his sister then. I was crying in the whole thing because I

am truly a Heath Ledger fan from his early starts so for me to see him win was

a great joy.

I enjoyed the speech that Heath's family gave when they accepted his award for Best Supporting Actor. Most of his fellow costars and friends were crying. I did not end up crying but it still was heartbreaking to watch. The praise that they had for their son and that Kim had for her brother was sweet. It was also lovely that they mentioned his daughter Matilda. BTW, she will inherit the Oscar from Heath when she turns 18.

I agree! Although I did cry. The whole thing still really breaks my heart. It touched me in a way that most things never could. The only things is that Kim is his father. Kate is his sister. I know this because she and Heath were named after the characters in Wuthering Heights, Catherine & Heathcliff <3 <3.

I think he would still have been nominated and won if he were still around to accept the award. There are people who think that he only got nominated and won because he died which does not make sense. The only other actor to win after he died was Peter for Network. James Dean was the only other actor nominated for his perfomance in a film who sadly died beforehand. However, James Dean did not win the Oscar for his performance.

I am so happy that Heath won for Best Supporting Actor for the Dark Knight. He truly deserved it and did a great acting job as Joker. He did a great performance of bringing the Joker to life as a mysterious misunderstood twisted soul. My favorite scenes were when he is talking about his scars. I also liked the scene where he meets with the mob dealers. Anyone have any particular scene of Heath's that they think is noteworthy in the film?

Well, thing is when you are acting, you are "acting" like a completely different person. In real life Heath Ledger was probably the opposite of the Joker. Haha. As an actor when you jump on stage/or set in this case you become the character, and forgetting yourself. Then when you jump off stage you are just 'you' again. XD

Anyways he was a shy guy acting as an outgoing, psychopathic clown. : D
