Actually, the cartoon was about (pause for dramatic effect) a pink panther. It was a silent cartoon that is still today considered a classic, with its witty, nonverbal jokes and hillarious slapstick. I believe the cartoon was based on the opening of the original Pink Panther film that starred (if I'm remembering correctly) Peter Sellers. THAT one was about Inspector Closeau.
