Do not get this. At least not until long after they fixed all the bugs. Every Windows OS that comes along is worse than the previous. I bought 7 when it first came out like an idiot and I had constant program crashes all day for almost half a year. And it took them that long to release a compatibility mode. PC has so many problems it's ridiculous. And I've been a PC user since I was a little kid running 98. PC is just frustrating and horrible. I would get a Mac but I don't have $1500.

This is great :) what people don't realize is that this system is going to have the friendly Desktop that we all know but its also going to be based in the well known Zune-windows phone interface. I don't think this should ship on computers, it should be a mobile operating system only, because that's what it looks like. I'm happy with the current layout, current start menu, easy shortcuts, and other things, it's like Windows just wants to put out another OS to make money, but what they should be doing is releasing it with mobile devices, similar to Android and the iOS.

It still has classic windows interface as an option and is more for gamers than any other version of windows, with added support for touch screens or even gamepad or media remote for navigation, plus it even has the ability to play xbox titles.

You probably sit on the tv and watch the sofa anyway so won't make much difference to you!!!

windows 8 sucks, sucks up RAM and processor, win95 ran fast on a 486 with 4 meg of ram, win7 needs 1000 times the ram and 1000x faster processor, win8 will probably double 7's requirements, win8 kills batteries in portables in minutes, i'd shoot myself before i buy a box with 7 or 8 in it. i'm building several win95/98 boxes now that will run on pent3/4 processors, will make win7/8 look like a slow poke joke!
