What's really interesting about this situation is that the Republican party is at a very interesting crossroads. Do they "cave-in" to the current tide of the heavily religious right and throw their fiscally conservative, socially moderate peers under the bus....or do they reign in the far religious right.

has Chris Matthews ever referred to anyone in the Democrat party as "Far-Left?" Anyone? Has he ever referred to Nancy Pelosi as "Far Left?" How about Barney Frank? "Far-Left?" What about Kusinich? Has Chris Matthews ever called Kusinich "Far-Left?" What is this obsession the Media has with framing every conservative as "Far-Right" like its some boogy man. It's such an obvious ploy to demonize conservatives.
