People have actuallys stolen his whole tombstone. Then they just started chipping pieces off of it and it had to be replaced again. Now they pretty much leave it alone.

As far as the cemetery, I read recently that a widow sold her husband's plot right under Marilyn's. She needed the money and had him moved elsewhere thinking someone might pay a high price to be buried right under MM. True story.

Marilyn was well on her way when that picture broke. Hefner had nothing to do with her career. Millions were made off that picture and all Marilyn got was a lousy 50 bucks for posing. He owed HER in my book.

We just recently visited Marilyns grave what they dont mention is that the great Comedian Freddie Prinze (Richard F Poncher) is right above her. Legend has it he purchased the plot and years before he died, he wanted to be buried face down...so he could be on top of her. His pallbearers did just that. The greatest story ever.

I visited her grave site 20 years ago and even then it was the most stained dirty one because all the fans just wanted to touch it. I remember touching it and it moved slightly which I thought was freaky but I guess it just became loose because of all the pushing & touching. Hard to RIP with all the fans :-)

@xoAngelKraftox to be honst i dont remember. it was a couple months ago. all i remember them saying is that over the years, people would come to the grave, kiss it and leave notes (explaining the crap in the grave below hers, and that her nameplate had to be replaced because of it. and that hugh hefner has the grave next to hers reserved, although i think he sold it
