@slaydemons I haven't seen UBW, but I know for a fact I've read the VN start to finish in every scenario. Archer most likely is Shirou, the only way to summon a Servant is through a catalyst by physical connection. Archer's case, the amulet that saved Shirou's from day 3.

Ironically, it is funny that Hero Emiya, is one without a Noble Phantasm, yet he's able to kill Gilgamesh who also lacks a Noble Phantasm without batting an eyelash, once inside the works.

Berserker is stupidly overpowered in comparison to all other servants.

@Xecromancer That's because the Berserker class is intended to buff up weaker Hero Spirits. If the Servant is already strong it will be too powerful to command. Hercules can be any class except Caster and he's a strong heroic spirit by default. Any master other than Ilya who had tried to contract Hercules as a Berserker would have been swiftly mudered as soon as he heeded the call and turned insane. So yes, he's total overkill. As far as I remember Hercules strongest class should be Archer.

In Heaven's Feel Shirou died due to overuse of Archers arm and he couldn't use projection on his own plus he never took Rin's pill that would allow him easy access to his Magical Energy.

UBW: Faster, but lower quality projections, and is physically painful (circuits not opened properly etc) Trump Card: Unlimited Blade Works

HF: Insanely awesome projections, but mind rapes+kills himself using it. Trump Card: Nine Lives

All routes have advantages and disadvantages.

Anyone have a Reality marble, its a part of your soul, see the differences between Archer UBW and Shirou UBW (in UBW, lol)? thats because Archer also doesn't belive in those ideals anymore. HF! Shirou with training and finding his chants ("So as i protect her, Unlimited Blade Works" maybe, lol) will have a version of UBW too. Also - He cant use Avalon, only if he in contract with Saber.

Hm? I thought Shirou's puppet body has Prana issues, which is the reason why he needs Sakura every night, so he still has to depend on someone to use his RM.

And yeah, his UBW still worked, he just wasn't able to use Archer's UBW from his left arm because of their now different worlds. Iirc, UBW was still active against Kirei in the last battle(you know, swords coming out of his body etc).

Btw, a contract for Avalon isn't needed. It worked on Iriviel and Shirou(4th war), too.

@Raron Its not "Prana issues", its more that his body regressing because Ilya couldn't really use the third magic at his full potential, he's like a servant - he needs Sakura for staying, but his prana capicity has grown.

And Avalon needs Saber prana, so Fate! Shirou can't use anymore avalon like he does against Kirei.

Of course his UBW was active, its always activated, but against Kirei in HF, its was Archer UBW who goes out of control.

I have nothing against the anime version, but the Visual Novel is a lot more detailed (well, that's kind of obvious...). So if you've watched the anime and liked it, I recommend playing the visual novel if you want a greater level of immersion to Fate/Stay Night.
