the lower the gear ratio (eg crawlers) the less torque is required by the motor and clutch to turn the load. that is why if you try to start your car in fifth gear you will spend about 20 min riding the clutch in first gear. there is less force and ware and tear on this clutch than on the stock high gear ratio the clutch was designed for. but what do i know im just a machinist. ps if the clutch blows up dont post it on you tube , youll make us both look like asses.

Yeah I have a few electric crawlers. Weather it would 'hang' with your axial depends on how modded your truck is. I would say that this is as capable if not more than a outta the box axial. Thanks for your comment.

I you want to get a good starter nitro, don't go for the cheapest, go for a good brand like traxxas or team associated and get a good car that has parts readily available. I would recommend a traxxas revo or a t maxx
