Beautiful. Love that is beyond. Love like I experienced in 1966. Because I was young and immature, we did not get married. We both married others, than ran into each other again in 1971, were still in love and again became separated. Than miraculously we reconnected in 2009, still in Love. I first heard this song at the Top 5 NCO Club, Field Station Asmara (Kagnew Station), Eritrea in 1969. I was having severe problems with my wife at the time and, attempting to drown my sorrows, spent a LOT of time in the club while she was out running around. Sorry to see the statement made by rjohn191 made a year ago, but Troy Donahue was one of the few young idols of the late 50's and 60's that was not gay. You can Google and read his bio. It is a great thrill to be able to find these snippets of our youth. Videoflying333 sorry to see your comment about your girlfriend. This song brings back memories. I saw this movie and just met a fellow. We lived about 50 miles apart. The next time I saw him and we were kissing I could only think of this song while he was kissing me. The movie was just great and wish we had more like them nowadays. My GF and I went to see this movie in the spring of 1962. We were in college and struggling with love! Love was handling us and we couldn't handle love. I gave my GF this song as her graduation present. As I played this song in her residence hall I felt such a feeling of love and emotion for her. I knew then what life was all about. While we didn't make it (we did not get married) it has remained a very sentimental memory for me.

This song was my boyfriend's and my song back in 1962. We went to the drive in and it rained so hard you could hardly see the screen. But we still could hear the bearutiful song, On the way out of the drive in the radio played that song. He looked at me and said "that has to be our song." He died three years ago. I will always miss him.
