I think homosexuality has been around in humans since prehistoric times. I think it is in every culture, in every race, in every country and in every family. I think there will be homosexuality as long as there are human beings.

In 2003, the U.S. Supreme Court Lawrence v. Texas decision outlawed all the laws prohibiting anal and oral sex in the 14 states that hadn't overturned or repealed these laws.

It's important to understand that the U.S. has separation of church and state. The views of a particular church cannot legally be enacted into law. That is in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Evidence-based science is showing that, at least for men, sexual orientation is fixed before birth and is unchangeable. Women's sexuality is said to be more "fluid," but they have been studied much less.

The labels didn't drop him "for perpetuating violent, hateful rhetoric," as they would have know exactly what kind of music Banton was releasing beforehand, rather it was because of the resulting backlash and drop in sales that would have done it.

In the case of Mark Myrie ("Buju Banton") the answer is "maybe." Buju was accused by victims of taking part in an armed attack on six gay men, by 12 assailants, in 2004 in Kingston. Mark Myrie was eventually arrested in the case.

This is an old, and scientifically disproved, theory. You can look up these two studies: Golombok & Tasker, 1996 and Patterson, 1992.
You can also rule out: That lesbians see their fathers as their primary role model, that having gay or lesbian parents has anything to do with being gay or lesbian, that gays or lesbians have been seduced or molested by an older person of the same sex.

I think homosexuality has been around in humans since prehistoric times. I think it is in every culture, in every race, in every country and in every family. I think there will be homosexuality as long as there are human beings.
Because homosexuality is at least partially genetic, even if you could wipe out all LGBT people, almost immediately there would be a new crop of young LGBT kids around saying: "Where is everyone?"
