@XhosaKhaya, I recognized the word "Ngubani," because the "Shaka Zulu" character said that to the "Whites" when he met them in the movie. I don't have a desire to learn the language, but I view these videos to watch you, because you have personality. You're not annoying like some YouTubers.
So i'm from ghana and we got this satellite that let us catch etv and i fell in love with the Rythm city show. then i fell in love with the languages and how they mix it with english. And i want to learn at least one south african language. Glad i found your channel!!
Unjani Khaya! We are researching for a speech on Namibia and now there's a little school in NZ trying hard to click their way through the day.Maximum respect!
Cool :) Thank you for this video :) I needed it for a speech in english at my school :) I talked about Xhosa, the people in S.A.. So i started it with MOLO and so all eyes on me ;)
I love this language it's so lyrical and it paints a story with words that I ,sadly, can't understand. but I wish I could because I truely desire to have the key to understanding and uttering this language. tank you for this very helpful 1st lesson I hope you'll make many more videos like this one =)
Thank you so much for the lessons. A very dear friend of ours is Xhosa speaking and we've had the privilege of hosting him in our home for a month. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, has been AMAZED at this truly beautiful language! And we're all trying to do the clicks.
Molo... Igama lam ngu Nathanael... Unjani Khaya? dude this is ace I've bin searchin the net 4 weeks to learn african and this is 1 thing I've managed to work with plz mke more of these
Wow! I always heard/read the word 'xhosa' in different parts of writings that spoke of african languages. I always wondered why the 'x' in 'xhosa' and what sound it makes. I never knew about xhosa's beautiful and fascinating 'click' sounds until today! I never knew a languages that a language like this existed! It's so different! I definitely would like to learn it!!!
Thank you so much!! I've got a school project to do for my World Cultures and Geography class (we have to study a culture) and I automatically chose the Kalahari Bushman (San). Do you know if they speak Xhosa?
khaya - enkosi kakhulu!!! i lived in SA (eMonti) for a bit and picked up some xhosa, but since i returned to canada i haven't been able to keep up with it since nobody here speaks xhosa! please keep up the videos!

Hi. Thank you so much for this! I have been trying to learn isiZulu for a few years, but I am so bad. Even though I'm working on another language, this video is so great for the similarities and the pronunciation. Thank you!
I'm watching the cricket and you're Khaya, and Ntini is Makhaya. Is Khaya short for Makhaya, or are they two different names, or does he just need a prefix because he's not as awesome as Khaya?
Dankie! Enkosi! This is a very good idea - it frustrate me endlessly wanting to have a conversation in Xhosa but not being able to. My friends try teaching me in small steps. How about giving us a chance to repeat the words - blessings!
In addition to those phrases, it is also essential to learn the swear words of a given language. Will there be a lesson on the swear words and/or insults of Xhosa? ;p
So the Xhosa word for "introduction" is "introduction"? The Xhosa language didn't have a word for "introduction" before there was an English influence?
@XhosaKhaya i think this language is pretty cool.. but one question.. Why is it that in Xhosa u have exclamation marks and upside down exclamation marks beginning like a word or name like !Xobile... what is the purpose of the exclamation mark?
