  • ohh yeah

  • "Oh no, it turned off... crap"

  • can it scan 11x17" size?

  • can you save the scans as pdf?

  • Everything about this video is an efficient use of space and time. Well done.

  • where do I go to get to the text reviews?

  • I take pictures, way faster ! :P

  • Man, that is an over-the-top office! Why did you have to go and spend thousands of dollars on furniture?

  • Hi Aron

I know that Vuoint has a new scanner available just recently with a larger LCD and better resolution. Would you know if it is ST 415 modle or another.

    Thanks.

  • After scanning text documents, does the product allow the user to edit the text or send to a Micosoft file?

    Thanks!

  • Thanks very much!We know how to use it now :)

  • Thank you for the review. It was very helpful. Also, thanks for the tip that they sell it at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Anyone can get a 50-percent off coupon, and pick it up for 50 bucks.

  • Cool stuff........

  • You left the most useful part of the scanner, Black and White Printed Text with OCR if it is good somebody can digitalize their whole pile of papers and make it searchable text with OCR of if the OCR is good, with little or no spelling errors.. I wonder ?

  • @jucest Help me to understand this because I will purchase this item if it can do what I think you are saying. You can, for example, scan a dictionary to which the this device has the capability to convert into text? I mean, once a single page of a dictionary is scanned successfully, I can edit the text which I just scanned? If so, it is possible to transfer that same text into MS Excel/Word?

    Thanks in advance!

  • is there a size limit for the paper? for example if the width is within the two marks but if the length goes for more than standard size.

  • it is good

  • Show end result!! how the image comes up. I can go to the store if i only want to see it. jeez

  • @ecceservices Same question here, how does it do on pictures. I have a bunch of one photos I want to scan out of very old family albums.

  • I feel so vulnerable to thieves just hearing about this.

  • Thanks a lot for the review!

  • the amount of power it uses, makes it more or less useless - would have been perfect if you didnt have to change batteries every second hour.

  • Scanner works GREAT with coor and/or blk & white. I have been really impresed by the ease of the unit itself. VERY simple to operate. Saves me a GREAT deal of space as I no longer need to keep entire magazines around as I simply scan the articles/pictures I wish to keep and donate the magazine to local libraries.

  • I just purchased the Magic Wand and it works great on flat surfaces. However, it is not as invaluable when it comes to real books. I am a law school student and thought that I could scan my pages and view them on my computer for classes instead of hauling my heavy books everyday. The problem is b/c of the binding it almost never scans well enough to use. Any suggestions?

  • @estherlynnb you dont scan books top to bottom, instead try inside to out, placing the wand vertically and sliding horizontally

  • It matters how fast, yes. If you go too fast, the scanner will error and force you to redo the scan.

  • does it matter how fast you do it or not?

  • I just Shatz ma pants

  • Can I scan my face?

  • @bowesays lmao

  • @moshe4point0 Hehe, I'm not in a closet. It is facing two closet doors in a bedroom. Our newer reviews are in a different location, though.

  • Two questions: 1, I heard that it can be used with mac (what I have), and also windows. Is this true?

    2. does it come with the mini SD card, or is that separate, if so, where might I get the SD card and approximately how much does it cost?

I am a designer and need something to be portable for client purposes. thank you for posting this video, it was very helpful.

  • With this will i be able to save the file in PDF?

  • Thanks for the review. I've been looking for some sort of devise to help me with my case loads. This has been very helpful.

  • We mentioned the B&W scanning for increased contrast. You could do the same after the fact in a photo editing program. There is no reason to note use color unless you have text only on a white background. We only use Linux and the software only supports Windows.

We just tried your request. It will work off of a flat screen monitor, but the image is a bit wavy due to the LCD scattering of the light. You can get information off, but it isn't like scanning a piece of paper. Agree about the camera

  • My compact camera does the same. Saving in B&W makes the print clearer. Then transfer into Omnipage OCR. Pity that you did not show a B&W scan, nor test with Omnipage. Also, will it scan the image off a flat screen TV/ MONITOR?

Other possible uses: scanning whiteboards, chalkboards, paintings, floor coverings, but I prefer my always carried digital compact camera..
