Carl and Denise are great people that really know their stuff. If you get a chance you should swing by their lab and meet them. They have a wealth of knowledge to offer anyone who walks through those doors.
actually, if you understand snake behavior at all, you know that snakes like to find small, dark places and cram themselves in there and not move much, thats what they prefer. the work that the few venom extraction facilities do is crucial for the production of antivenom to save lives, also venom is used for medical research for the production of revolutionary drugs. so you should thank these people for wrapping there fingers around the most toxic animals on earth every day to saves lives.
Wow that is one of the best videos Ive seen where the subject is explored and not exploited as sensationalism. Best of luck Carl, the facility is very clean and bright and inviting to all. Looks great. You represent the venomous community as well as anybody Ive seen. I cant wait to get up there and check it out.

Glad that there were no complications from that EDB bite. Amputating the head is usually unsuccessful.

This guy sounds like Jim Carrey when he was Count Olaf disguised as Stephano in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events... lol

One note that I noticed in this video is at 2:15, that is an Eastern Diamondback, not a Western. Otherwise it's a great video.

It seems a bit inhumane to keep these snakes in such small environments. I imagine most of them don't even see the light most days.
