@SempiternalDamnation Ok, I suspected as much. Oh well, Kamen did a good job and David liked his music. Obviously since then David always makes sure that Shore scores his films from the get go to prevent that happening again. Thanks.
Another work of sheer magical musical excellence from Shore like his scores to Scanners, The Fly, Brood and other Cronenberg movies except "Dead Zone" which he didn't do.
Its so dark isn't it? i Love it! Deadzone was another fav of mine that Cronenberg did wasn't Shore it still sounded like a Cronenberg film didn't it? Dark and moody. Never did catch the series of that probably sucked didn't like Stephen Kings TV film of teh Shining to Kubricks masterpiece.
Shore was going to do The Dead Zone but someone happened, studio politics or something, I'm not sure. So Micheal Kamen and had only like 4 or 5 weeks to compose his score, he was a last minute replacement. Kamen did do a great job, and in some ways it does sound like a Shore score. I only caught some of the DZ tv series, ok I guess. Yeah the 1997 tv remake of The Shining, I found passable but Kubrick's original totally blows it away.
