How Does 'Move' Stack Up Against Wii?

The Wiimote is also 4 years older so it's stupid to even try to compare them. 4 years on the gaming market might as well be 40 years, technology moves so fast these days so it's no wonder the PS Move outperforms the Wiimote. It's like trying to compare the graphics on a Commodore 64 with the Nintendo 64, it's completely different. If they had been released simultaneously then I can understand comparing the two, fact still remains that Sony and Microsoft got owned by the Wii then ripped it off.

Move is compatible with games most Ps3 uses have already unlike Kinect and some of those titles are on the 360. As for the Wii it's motion controll has nothing on Ps3's and it's games suck for the most part with the exception of Zelda TP and a few Mario games.

I find it sad that no game on the Wii uses the full capability of the Wii Motion Plus. I have seen what could be done with it. But they just insist on making the controll stick to a center position in the game, instead of following your arms like it should. God, i've seen homebrew games that uses more of the motion Plus. Playstation did well with the Move tho. They use it to more of it's potential in more games than the Plus for Wii yet.

Not really..If you cover up the ball, ps move doesn't work as well. Ps move copied this internal motion sencing tech from the wiimote. Don't get me wrong, the camera and foam ball idea is theirs. But everything under the sony ball on ps move is just a copy of the wiimote with current techology. Kinda like the ps1 controler to the SNES. It's an obvious copied/inspired/improved.

Sony,s playstaion move utilizes a camera which can be a standalone that can do kinetic like games and the controllers themselves can do wii type games with 100% accuracy over the motion plus. Sounds like the playstation move not only trashed the wii but literally also trashed microsofts chance at motion gaming... On top of that Sony will have a bigger lineup of motion games then wii and xbox 360 combined. I wish I had a ps3

@BispingFan28 It's actually quite a bit different and sony (richard marks specifically) have been working on it for years. Key differences include: there is a camera that can track your body (similar to natal), it has a greater range of motion (where as the wii, you have to point at the sensor bar, the move can be anywhere in the cameras fov, which gives you a much bigger area), and WAY more precise tracking of movement/rotation than the wii.

But if you see the latest footage that came out yesterday of them demoing natal, the avatar still looks choppy... hopefully E3 they'll show something better. Also, I would add that the PS3 camera has a mic so you can talk into it too, so natal doesn't have any advantage there. Natal does have the 3D vision, but I just haven't seen it used in any compelling way that I'd want to jump aboard that tech just yet.

@BispingFan28 ur also assuming that I'm a fanboy, which i'm not. i would buy a 360 if i could afford it. there just werent enough games on it that appealed to me to buy it over PS3. but assuming i had both systems, the move would be a better choice in motion control since there are far more options of games to play and its easier to play them. try playing platformers, shooters, rpgs, and weapon fighting games without buttons or an accurate correlation of offscreen weapon to onscreen.

@doometernity the move uses a camera, just like natal, it can track your body movement as well.. there are some videos out there showing this. You don't even need the move controller, it can track your body directly. It's like the guy said, it's the best of both worlds.

At least not up to par with Natal which can even distinguish between fingers and translate that to the screen. The Eye cant do that at least not yet. But i definitely think the Move is a better choice because I would say as a camera, Natal is more advanced but as a game enhancing system, Move is way better

@bAmpersand Actually the tech in the Wiimote is almost exactly the same thing as the powerglove already. It Used an inferred sensor to track the two knuckle points on the glove in the x and y axis and the switches in the fingers were the buttons.
