    This has grown to be one of my favorite pieces of classical music ever.

    They also did it for their 2007 winterguard show. Got 7th place at WGI.

  • @ladyearwen Truth be known, Rochester Patriots did this as a winterguard show in like 2001 though. 5th place.

  • I believe this is the recording done by the Scottish National Orchestra, conducted by Meeme Jarvi.

    I highly recommend the CD. It comes with an equally AMAZING recital of Shosty's 10th symphony. Fantastic:

  • @eXcommunicate1979 eXcommunicate you are correct. I just compared the recordings side by side and the only difference is that this video (obviously, it's youtube) has much poorer quality.

  • @eXcommunicate1979 Exactly. This orchestra has a very distinctive sound--especially the brass section. Check out their recording of Prokovief's (Spelling?) Romeo & Juliette and Bruckner 4.
