BTW The Stones were sued for millions which they had to settle for ripping off Blues artist like Muddy Waters Willie Dixon Howlin Wolf etc so I guess they felt compelled to do the same thing
This is a good indicaion how the music industry is run by cut throats this song is nothing like Bittersweet Symphony with the exception of some verse construction
This is a good song but is totally different that The Verve this is not copyright infringement
Yea, they ripped it off, but come on, how long can you hold on to the same beat for? Give other musicians a chance here, and the Rolling Stones stole 100 percent of the profits. Now the Rolling Stones are just looking like assholes. They just care about the money, sad to say.
I find it to be so ironic how one of the most authoritative 'American' publications on popular music (in particular rock) took the 'Rolling Stones' name and established a magazine. It is even more ironic how that same dwindling magazine downplays the 'Stones and their impact by never placing them at number 1 on their so called, 'authoritative' greatest of all time lists. The Rolling Stones are synonymous with 'Rock and Roll.' You can't have one without the other.
There is nothing to compare between The Stones and The Beatles. Aside from the propaganda put out by the media throughout the decades, if you carefully examine the Rolling Stones and the impact they have had on Rock music and fashion there is little doubt that THE ROLLING STONES are the greatest band of all time, and the proof is that almost 50 years on they are still together as a band. It was the Rolling Stones that kicked off all the screaming and rebellion that was a hallmark of Punk Rock.
@Lunatic4Bizcas What's rebellious about derivative blues-rock? Sure, maybe in terms of image the Rolling Stones had a larger impact than the Beatles, but in terms of music the Stones are (of course with a few exceptions) boring compared to the Beatles. But obviously all this exchange is going to lead to is an acknowledgement of a difference of opinion. All the same, how can I not respond to the claim of "greatest band of all time"?
@Lunatic4Bizcas if you carefully examine something in an attempt to reach your forgone conclusion then it's not really a surprise that you reach that conclusion.
Wow.....what a great old classic tune.......love it......how lucky we are to live in a time when u can listen to just about any old tune you like ..........This song by the stones has such a great classic sound.....the guitar in this song is fantastic......
@doug4bears Cheers Joe,yeah you can hear just about anything here on youtube and that's why i love using it so much.thanks for watching and have a nice evening. Carl
@MegaSlypig : I love The Verve and what they brought to the table during the decline of decent music in the late 90's, and I think that one of the greatest flaws of judgement coming from Mick was the lawsuit brought against The Verve, which I find to be indeed frivolous. The other major lack of judgement coming from Mick was allowing those radio postulating sissies from Maroon 5 to make a song debasing Mick Jagger and his uncanny moves.
Awesome KISS song. Paul stanleys vocals rule here. Ace's guitar and Peters drumming are tops. This almost made it to their destroyer album, but they moved it to the Love Gun album instead.
Too much pain and too much sorrow... (I know those that get on and quote lyrics are quite possibly listening to the song and it jogs some angst or memory or satyrical advice)
How the fuck did they manage to sue The Verve out Bittersweet Symphony? Its nothing like this and a million times better. Robbing gits, robbing genius gits tbf

@TheBunnyist this song always reminds me of my older brother as he was always plying this one,and what a great song it is.thanks for watching and glad you liked it. CARL
@97dsf It is from this song, distantly. Andrew Oldham Orchestra did an orchestral cover of 'The Last Time'. That's the song that got sampled by The Verve. Either way I love all three of them :D
Wonderful upload here CARL,I like most of the early Stones recordings, they have that raw edge to them that's missing in a lot of the later songs, has to be a fave for me,,,,brilliant stuff !!
A terrific blast from the past Carl! This sure takes me back, I was a big fan of all the "British Invasion" groups back in sixties... and, of course, the Stones was one of the best! Great song and video, I enjoyed it very much! Cheers! ... FrAnK
