  • best female singer , ever x

    x

  • i grew up listeing to patsy cline and i still love to hear music, it is so pure and so honest. one of the greaest ladys of country music

  • I'm 22 and was born in the wrong generation.

  • @devan616...I hear ya there...I'm 23 and i think that same thing!!

  • What the ###!!! is Leanne Rimes doing singing Patsy's song that all she does is sing others people songs she sucks!

  • @TheChancesmom Patsy didn't wright her own songs. Crazy was written by Willie Nelson. But I agree that nobody can top the Cline.

  • @TheChancesmom ....I think LeAnne Rymes is one of the best singer of this generation....yet Patsy Cline was better !

  • Patsy Cline's voice is timeless! She died nearly 50 years ago, and she's more popular now, then she was when she was alive. Classic, unique, pure & strong. The best female vocalist of all time! It don't get any better than Patsy Cline!!!!!!

  • I was raised on Patsy Cline. My Mom was one of her biggest fans. I can sing along with everything she ever sang. What talent and what a great loss to country music. Rest in Peace Patsy. Your fans love you still.

  • It is hard to perform a song when you know that no one could do it better than Patsy, but I've loved this song since I was a kid. Please watch my version if you get a chance. I figure if one young person hears Patsy's version because of mine, that's great. Patsy was the one and only queen of country music, and I miss her. love Dan Dell

  • who could dislike this???? Just sang this tune and it should be on my channel in a few days. But NO ONE could sing it like her.

  • @DanDelvis Amen~~But You Came Close. Awesome Cover. J.

  • wonderful to listen to afte all these years - just shwos that a good voice was then, is now and shall be - and no earthly digi enhancement makes a mediocre voice quality - as we see with all the rubbish we have been fed the last decades. Poor Amy Weinhouse, recently deceased also had wonderful raw talent - of course in a different genre. But if both had sung into a tin can it wouldhave sounded fabulous!!

  • I never tire of Patsy Cline! I wish I could have known her. She died way too soon.

  • just great

  • Your the best Patsy!!!!!

  • Great Patsy Cline Forever !!!!!!!!!!!

  • in a patsy state of mind

  • Thank you for posting this song, this song will forever remind me of my mother, she used to sing it all the time when I was a little kid!

  • I was a singer myself years ago..and I can tell you ..Patsys songs are soooo difficult to sing..she was so underated. Her range was terrific..it may not seem like that but it's because she made it sound so effortless. Glenda-Marie London xx

  • There is nothing like the sound of Patsy Cline.. A Great singer lost way to young.

  • Patsy you are timeless and always will be. We miss you so. Love Barbara

  • Love the ending to this tune, perfect.

  • what a gem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you may think its country but its the blues...pure and simple...this woman had the blues in her soul....

  • @supurbian to me its pure country, but then again, what difference does it make what genre it is?

  • Patsy Cline was and is still the greatest female singer of all-time. thank you for the postin! Mike

  • i love this song

  • I was introduced to Patsy Cline's music by my mom she did not speak much English and she understood some but she said that Patsy Cline sang from the heart. My mom is gone now and when I listen to her it reminds me of my mom.

She said that her friends laughed at her for being Puerto Rican and liking Pasty Cline she told them a good voice was appreciated by whoever listened regardles of race.

  • @tiffysmomny When my brother was a senior in high school he had some of his friends hanging out at the crib. I bet them that I could play a country song that they would really like. Of course, being the young, black, rap-liking guys that they were, they laughed. So, I put on 'Crazy'. Well you could have heard a caterpillar crawl across the floor when they heard her voice and the music. Made me play it again too. So, you are so correct. Patsy is one of my favorite singers.

  • @tiffysmomny Your mom sounds like a lovely person :~) And she is right...and I think Patsy Cline's voice, her songs could break through any language barrier. If I did not speak English, or understand it, I would still know this particular song was of a heartbroken woman. Patsy was so believable, she sang with such emotion.

  • Beautiful. I can't think of a singer today that has her talent and class.

  • No matter how many times you listen to Patsy sing, her expression will still set you back in your chair. Simply stunning.........

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Patsy was so talented. RIP your music lives forever!

  • PATSY IS GOD'S GIFT TO COUNTRY MUSIC!

  • one of the greatest female singers , along with Kitty Wells in the world

  • I LOVE this song, listening to it makes you feel the pain of losing someone you love coupled with that amazing voice..

  • The greatests Die Young

  • Me and My dad would sing our heart to her songs.

  • I agree -- the best song Patsy Cline ever recorded!

  • thanks for the dreams you bring bk to me

  • Best song Patsy Cline ever made. Just imagine what she could have done if she was still alive today.

  • To be blessed with a voice like Patsy Cline..is a touch of Heaven!

  • love you sacha.

  • I never get tired of hearing Patsy sing this one! Who can't identify with LEAVIN' ON YOU MIND?

"If there's a new love in your heart... tell me now, get it over."

Thanks for reminding me how great this song is!.........................Jan

  • wonderful song

  • That saying "the one and only" fits Patsy Cline perfectly.

  • True TALENT !!!!

  • it song is beatiful,Patsy cline is wonderful

  • the men that I spoke of Steven were all special people and taught me lessons in love and life that I would never have learned or appreciated without them

  • bluiis2003, I know exactly what you mean. I've had two loves like that and even though it hurt to break up, it's all part of life's journey. (boy, did that sound hokey)

  • Totally on God's iPod.

  • I used to play this song after the men that meant the most to me moved on it allowed me to cry and ponder my future without them thank u Patsy the worlds greatest

  • @bluiis2003 How many men were there exactly. I mean, honey, past a certain point maybe it's you that is the problem.

  • @StevenCarinci hey steven ,It was 3 to be exact and actually I loved them and they loved me most of there moving on was just part of life that sometimes just happens

  • @bluiis2003

I understand. Your post sounded a bit maudlin and I only wanted to inject a bit of levity to it. As a male I've had a few lost loves myself. It's better to have loved and lost then...

  • i like this song

  • This song is such a gut wrencher. ALWAYS, ALWAYS brings tears to my eyes because of the pure emotion she puts into this song. Love it, love it!!!

  • @ProudKansan08

    Amen to that.

  • so sad she couldnt of lived longer so we could hear more from this unbelivable voice of hers.

  • Patsy Cline was ''THE BEST'ever.:))

  • ahhhhh, no one can compare to this super star. So much emotion.

    Thanks for this post,

    ken

  • Beautifull,thankyou for posting.

  • oooo, just listen to that beautiful voice!!!

  • I'm one of those people who care almost nothing about lyrics, anybody can write angst laden poetry. The magic in this music is the music itself, you don't have to live someone else's loss to love this music. The combination of melody, harmony, instruments, voices, rhythm and beat made this sound popular all over earth even among people who had no idea what the song subject was about. The mostly negative social messages in today's music miss that reality completely. Sad.

  • been there done it, felt all these feelings and patsy cline sings all her songs with so much feelings she must of had a sad life

  • i think that there are certain songs that people should just leave alone. i don't feel there is no one that has even earn'd the right to sing patsy's music. patsy was a very special lady and i don't feel that anyone else should even attempt to try and sing patsy's at all. there is noone on this planet that could even come close to the late great legendary patsy cline

  • Lorrie Morgan does a great version of this song on her new CD!

  • This is my absolute favorite song of Patsy Cline

  • if she was alive today ,she would still be greatest..

Patsy is not hype...she is brilliance

  • I am not a country music lover. Sorry everyone. My brother just can't believe it. I come from a long line of country music lovers and singers, and I live in Bristol, Tenn the birthplace of country music. I sing Karaoke and sing mostly 60's and 70's rock and southern rock. But I do sing 3 of Patsy Cline's songs this being one of them, I think this is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard. She is timeless and crosses bariers.

  • omg, I absolutly love country, and this is one of my all time classic favorites......I would imagine it would be a really great one to Karoke!!!

  • @boonesusan Actually, Virginia is the Birthplace of Country music, not TN. The Carter Family were from Virginia. But the record was made in TN. But Virginians created Country Music.

  • @VASINGER Acutally where I live is in the TWIN City of Bristol Tenn/Va The main street is called State Street. If you straddle the yellow line one foot is in Tenn. the other is in Va. and on the Tenn side there is a big sign that the state put up that says Bristol Tenn the Birthplace of Country Music. You may be right I won't argue, just going by what I have heard all my life.

  • @boonesusan The first record was made there, but The Carter Family was from Virginia- they are considered the forefront of Modern Country Music.

  • @boonesusan Because TN doesnt have a lot to claim, they might have let them claim Country Music. Country Music is actually from Virginia.

  • I ab so love this song. I think it was one of Patsy's greatest,,,,along with a few others!

  • Does anyone have a link to her live performance of this song?

  • It was on here. I had it saved as a favorite but the user who posted it removed it! It was way better than the recording.

  • R.I.P Mrs. Patsy Cline....one of the best singers.

Don't be sad because its over....be happy because it happened.

  • Tks for letting me stop for a moment and enjoy...This song just makes me want to sing and dance...

  • THISs my very Fav. Cline song. i'm glad

others can enjoy it. I don't know who wrote

it but it was written out of my heart a few times.

the only voice that sounds like hers is Rimes.

  • This song was the most played on the juke boxes on Beale Street in Memphis when I was stationed there. Brings back a flood of memories, mostly good ones. Thanks for posting it.

  • yes absolutely beautiful - good print - thanks for sharing.. She as a wonderful singer.. God loved her too.

  • My mother Rita Faye had the honor of being on this session, Patsy told her producer that if she did not have my mom playing auto harp that she was not going to record this song.

  • to all !! yes she is timeless !!! touchs all of us == some of us , can hit her note for note , but , no-one will ever be the same ;))

  • thank-you

  • god ilove this song, and patsy never gets old, loved her at 5 and lover her now at 55.

  • simply MARVELLOUS....this song is beautiful!

  • She was a GREAT SINGER!!!!

  • When Patsy sang a song, in most cases she owned it. Crazy, After Midnight, She's Got You and on & on. Others do great jobs, but Patsy owned the songs and it hasn't changed.

  • gawd she was amazing(: alot of people say i sound like her when i sing, lol. i have to put a video up of myself singing crazy but of course it won't sound as good as Patsy, lol.

  • This is my favroite along with "you belong to me" and "Crazy".

  • Great song, and no one could possibly have sang it any better. She did it perfectly.

  • beautiful voice she has elegant and so soothing

  • i loved her music when i was 15 and i still do at age 59. her music is timeless.
