  • fuck man that´s a freaking nice sounding car! The acceleration must be brutal.

  • this is my dream!!

  • very good engines !

  • Not often you get to see a T88 GT-R climb the hill at puke - especially with a sequential! - Thanks for posting guys

  • NZ4LIFE

  • that looks like so much fun

  • holy monkey fuck dude your smashing on every one lol

    what year is the skyline

  • fuck hea that shit gate

  • Over-rev the engine did we? What would you do without a tachometer?

  • @TheVampyreCat Rev-limiter...

  • @TheVampyreCat RB love da limit man

  • thats fucking sick!

  • WOW HOLY FUK

  • been round puke in my goddie.had heaps of fun with only 500bhp.would of loved this h/p to have a pootle around the track.......lol

  • average lines. only winning coz of the insane power. i like the video tho

  • Very nice!

  • Changing down mid-sweeper, interesting. Whats the lap time?

  • Glad you are enjoying the clip... to answer a couple of questions, the tyres were (a) Nittos for circuit, and (b) Mickey Thompson ET-Street grooved DOT-legal for drag. And yes, the driver in the circuit clips is Nick Jenkins, yes, he is the owner of the car- our pilot for Drag racing was Glenn Suckling, who went on to build his own Drag GT-R under the GDS Motorsport Red Baron logo, he ran a couple of seaons under Mag and Turbo colours and sponsorship. And yes, we still own the Skyline!

  • ownage thats mint round the hairpin n just flys past every 1 amazing

  • i love sequential shift because it's like a motorbike.. so easy to go up and down gears all the time. which saves time.

  • This is the Nissan club isnt? correct me if im wrong but i think ive seen half the cars he past when i was a member

  • badass.

  • man some people talk crap. you did well around there seen you drag bu never circit , Ive taken my yzf r1 around there completly diff typr of racing on a bike but looks like you did well considering its a drag car

  • should be on my things-to-do list before i die =D

  • man that thing has some power nice car

  • Very nice but you'll blow a seal keep hitting the limiter.

  • i have a feeling they know what they are doing

  • What would you know about that? Since you are such an expert, please inform us all with your infinite knowledge, what seal are they likely to blow?

I too have a feeling that they might just have some idea of what they are doing! You don't spend $150,000-200,000 on a drag car and make 1000hp if you don't know a thing or too, but again, what would you know about that! Youtube is full of 'Experts'.

  • No, you're right, I know nothing about cars, which is why I post random comments about blowing seals. But I do hold several qualifications in engineering and mechanics! Anyhow, what makes you an expert? How do you know this is a drag car? And how do you know the driver is the owner of the car?

  • thats why the limiters there...

so he doesnt over rev it and cause some damage...

  • KIWI GTRz i love dis shit

  • Very very nice I love the Turbo sucking in all this air to burn and convert to nice HP/KW's. I guess lots of effort and hours attention spend on this beautiful vehicle. I loved it thank you

  • And to clear up any confusion, this is our Croydon Wholesalers Drag GT-R from New Zealand, no relation to Croydon Racing Developments in Australia. Car was transformed from a Japanese Wangan racer into what you see here in our Henderson, Auckland workshop. Just after these clips were shot, we ran at Ohakea Airbase and recorded a top speed of 205mph at rev limit in 6th, reached it just over the mile mark from a standing start. Clip of this soon!

  • Thanks for the comments, yes, this is our Drag GT-R prior to a chassis upgrade into a dedicated (but street-legal) 8.55-second 1/4 mile machine on ET Streets. These clips shot just after the install of the Holinger 6-spd sequential, Nick was getting to grips with it here. Wild rides to be had! I'll post up more clips here soon from the Croydon "archives"... Cheers!

  • I've seen this GT-R run a 8 second pass down the 1/4 mile...

  • he toooo slow changing gears... man he kill engine soon he should change gears like the nagisa car...

  • you're just loosing time with that shift point...rev limit is something that should never be seen on a track

  • Yeah but have you driven a 1000Hp car that always wants to jump to rev limiter, and all the time keeping your eyes on the track and the car under control. Easy to say that driving a little SR20.

  • I agree with you, but also notice how it's only jumping the rev limiter during those bumps. You can see the screen jump when it happens. There's not too much you can do about that.

  • nah nevermind that camera is just sensitive, but yeah with practice he'll get over that quickly.

  • and hes goneeeeeeeeee...

  • fuck me

  • You need to turn that monster into a 'Police Car ' How many boy racer cars will be faster than that!?.

  • LISTEN TO THE TURBO!! fark

  • this cunt is passing them like no tomoro its like his vsing old laydeys

  • bad ass!!

  • Nice

  • whats your fastest time around pukekohe?

  • its actually built for dragracing this car, done 8.5's on street tyres

  • Niiiiice, very fast! Sequential gearbox makes it looks easy!

  • Awesome
