Excellent review, but picking up a cheap used Sennheiser G2 microphone would be quite difficult.

So.. any other good clip-on microphone to replace the one that comes with the kit? Thanks!

it's crazy to think, i used this style azden wireless mic back in the late 90's.. when I was starting out.. it seemed to cost about the same amount back then.. i wonder if they've upgraded the technology.. the unit itself still looks the exact same. ha!

Tascam DR-03 is $70...that's cheap. No interference either

@psynema true. I'm sure it has excellent audio. But if you are going to mic someone with a lav you run into a bunch of problems.

I think the audio is very good for youtube and vimeo. But keep in mind most people do not even think about it unless they know audio. My Mom can not even tell if a video on Netflix is HD or SD LOL

I have an Audio-technica that I bought for about $150 from B&H. I think it has better quality than the azden.

Strange. With yt encoding this actually sounds pretty good. Just notice the audio quality doesn't go up with with higher resolution.

I appreciate what it is that you attempt to do for other indy/small budget film makers, but I think in order for you to improve the quality of your videos, you should show some excitement or enthusiasm in your videos. It was extremely difficult for me to watch the whole video all the way through, simply because it seemed to me that you were reluctant to even film the video.

@MohammedXsifear Well I agree. I'm going to do another version of this showing how it all goes together and the correct audio settings. The reason this is so long and boring is so you can clearly hear the audio.

@MohammedXsifear You're entitled to your opinion but I disagree. I appreciate the info and I appreciate that he's being genuine. I don't want him to manufacture "enthusiasm" unless he's genuinely feeling it- your comment strikes me as odd. He's not doing an infomercial.
