This one is not as slick as version 2. I cringe thinking about how this came about. Ch 9 marketodroids slapping each other on the back about how cool it would be. They were probably doing the Walken dance at some barbie with chardies in their hands.
Already in this you can see how out of touch and irrelevant 9 were becoming. This is pure fear: hey, look, we're doing fatboy slim, see, we're still hip! Now they are easy targets for Micallef, Crikey, GNW, etc.
I see 9Perth inserted local personalities better than 9Adelaide did. Here they were really badly green-screened into place and lookd really uncomfy dancing around
Well yeah, d'uh, but I meant the commercial itself. Doesn't matter, I'm sure it probably was done at least partially in Perth (the parts with Perth ppl, at least).
He's right, because at 0:12, that's former Nine News Perth co-anchor Sonia Vinci. At 0:19, that's the other co-anchor Dixie Marshall. And the only other one I know is Michael Thomson, who does the weekday sport in Perth. I think the last grey-haired guy did the weather...
In Hobart, we saw this with weekday newsreader John Remess & sport reader Colin McNiff "dancing" around like idiots too. So every capital city must've got their own... :)
That was Karina Brown, who co-hosted Sale Of The Century between 2000 & 2001. She had zero personality, but was at least nice to look at... I'm guessing she works in retail now. :P
Ah, thanx dude! :) Yeah I remember her name, and her... somewhat, lol. I didn't like the main host of Sale at the time, Tony Barber was the best one for it. (I don't mind Ed Philips with Temptation nowadays, tho, mind you, he's alright.)
I think this was in 2001 when they had to apply 14:9 postage-stamping to the digital transmission chain because it wasn't ready yet to do auto-switching for the old 4:3 channel.
OH, AUSTRALIA! *sitcom laughter*

Thanks for the correction, PuraBoy. I liked this ID. Daggy, but funny.

If I'm not mistaken, this looks like the Perth version...
Was also nice to see Nine looking after their affiliates because of the half dotty logos in the background

Hey, who's the blonde chick who appears between 00:03 and 00:05? I don't remember her (which is odd considering how hot she seems)!
