@elinamelina27 Thanks for your comment, but generally speaking you don't "need" to cut off the tops of the cupcakes if they are nicely baked and nicely domed like most of mine were. If the tops are burned, misshapen, or flowed over the wrapper you can cut it off, maybe you do that often. Most people like the look of a rounded cupcake as opposed to a flat one, large cakes do get leveled and they look much better that way.
Very resourceful! Using a glass as a mold to cut the fondant that fits to the cupcakes is a good idea. But it is best to wipe a little of butter cream before putting the fondant on the top of the cupcake to add flavor.
@CupcakeIdeasForYou I know, I looove buttercream! I just wanted to show a quick way busy moms can make some awesome treats withwhat they would have around the house. Thanks!
I've always wanted to bake my entire life...im only in 5th grade (im using my cousin's account) n ive had some experience with baking...this helped me soo soo much...thanx ;)
Oh and too vianneylu this helped cuz I CAN NEVER (WELL BEFORE WATCHING THIS VIDEO) get it right but u helped and also that machine you used to flatten it out I bought that in Michaels but at the clay section and it said its for Clay like its fine if you use it for fondant but did you know its origionally for clay.
@AGdollAngels I'm so happy this helped! I actually have two pasta machines, one strictly for clay and one for my fondant and pasta! I hated rolling the fondant out, I could never get it right, but bakeries use something similar to a pasta roller called a sheeter (makes large sheets of the stuff). I figured it would work, and it does!!
this helped me soo muchh! Ive always wanted to be a baker and im only 15 so i have time until i have to go to college for it and love experimenting with things like this!
@elizalibby1 You know, I baked them in the Sunbeam cupcake maker, and it worked out really well because the cupcakes have a nice shape and don't really brown. Hope that helps, also I fill them about 2/3 full so they don't get too big or spill over the sides too much.
