  • GARBAGE

  • I'm from Norway and having socialized medicine and a free market is wholly possible. Some services should be provided by or regulated by the state - public education is socialized education. Can you imagine what it would be like if people had to pay to send their children to private schools? If you can't afford it, then literacy rate decreases and the country is made dumber. Seriously though, no economic market on this earth is entirely "this" or "that," they're all mixed economies.

  • All I can say is people are stupid and can be duped. Fox dups people.

  • The reason Obama was unaware of the provision in the Bill that would make private insurance illegal is that there was none. Just like "Death Panels" it was a completely made up issue by the right wingers who couldn't underestand what they read, just to get some attention to themselves. It also gave Fox News and conservative talk radio their script for the day.,

  • It would kick ass if it DID make private insurance illegal. That would RULE! but alas no.

  • "Wait wait wait. You can't change your insurance, but you can change your doctor." *whispers* "Not necessarily"

  • private insurance should be outlawed. it's a racket.

  • @tomitstube Damn right!!! They screw with sick people and kill them to make money.

  • (FOX) (F)ear-mongers with Hugs and Kisses.

  • Its funny how time reveals the truth and they were all correct and Obama was playing dumb not knowing what is in the 10,000 page bill, that is why he did not want anyone reading it before it was past. This should be a word of warning as to who is lying to you.

  • The section they're quoting does indeed exist, but it does not outlaw private healthcare. It simply states that there will be a new set of healthcare standards in place, but if an individual is already covered under a private policy that does not meet the new standards, they will be allowed to keep it. All new policies offered by private companies, however, will need to meet the new standards set by HR 3200 (as will the public option). These media people may be lacking in basic reading skills.

  • Lies lies lies. Fear fear fear. Your right wing media at work.

  • This is why people hate the conservative media. They straight up make shit up sometimes. And all of the idiots who watch Fox news and listen to Rush Limbaugh think they are telling it like it is. It's laughable people are so fuckin ignorant.

  • Media Matters makes up facts to support their side too. Go to my page and look at the video about the "death book". the books is mandatory to distribute to patients and MM4A claims it's not.

Also, the bill that was on the table would have made what we know as private health care illegal. The bill completely reworked the structure of private insurance changing the way the do their business.

It would force them out of business.. I read the damn thing unlike MM4A.

  • And unlike the lion's share of the anti-reform crowd and its pundits (ie. Palin and McCaughey).

  • Yeah, that is exactly what is going happen, Fox. There is just going to be a huge 'healthcare insurance company' cull. Right.....

How people actually believe a word of cable media is astounding to me. They spend the whole time shoving out propaganda and never addressing issues with rational thought or OFFERING A BETTER SOLUTION. Instead of complaining about the HC Bill offer a bloody alternative that compels people to agree out of hope not uneducated fear.

**RT, ANP, TRN! Fuck the VM!**

  • they've offered tort reform. you want to speak of propoganda, what has cnn, cbs, abc, or nbc mentioned of the new ACORN videos popping up. Its on a website, not exclusive to Fox, so they shouldn't have a ton of trouble getting it. and ur bloody way is making our brains turn. so, really, you should hear some conservatives out instead of just bashing the only station critical of our president. all the others did a service under bush, but now we have someone they like.

  • the difference is tht the other news stations like to verify thier sources before releasing nformation. Fox will release anything that criticizes obama. they have been caught lying many times and being hypocritcal. especially Beck. he used to say our healthcare system was horrible and will kill you, now he says its the best in world since he works for fox.

and he has been caught saying that he hates the familys of the victims of 9-11, yet he now uses 9-11 as a call for action of Hate. thats fox

  • he was saying he hates the people who go to welfare with drummed up sympathy. now, as for lying, many will agree now; iraq was unneccessary. but before, what did the other stations do to drum up hate for the war? they brought on soldiers who never stepped foot or served in iraq or afghanistan come in and tell war stories of us raping civilians and pilliging homes. most fox has done is call obama a socialist, liar, and corrupt. others called our troops blatant murderers unfoundedly.

  • the key here is to help the PEOPLE!!!,

not the insurance companies and hospitals make moreprofit.

  • it's simple. repukes want to lock you up for getting an abortion even if the baby has a defect that will cause the baby a slow painful death, but once that baby is born they are fine with letting it die rather than providiing affordable, life saving heath care if it means tax increases for the wealthy.

  • A fact that Fox "News" forgot to mention: From WebMD News: US ranks 29th worldwide in infant mortality: Those with less: Singapore: 2.0 Hong Kong 2.5 Japan 2.8 Sweden 3.1 Norway 3.2 Finland 3.3 Spain 3.5 Czech Rep 3.7 France 3.9 Portugal 4.0 Germany 4.1 Greece 4.1 Italy 4.1
  • i think your information is a little out of date, but for the most its right. however, we lets look at just france, germany, and canada.

  • first, some statistics to go by Infant mortality rate canada-5.01 germany-3.99 france-3.33 U.S- 6.26 all per 1000 live births birth rate U.S-13.82 pop growth .975% current pop 307,212,123 france-12.57 pop growth .549% current pop 64,057,792 canada-10.8 pop growth .817% current pop 33,487,208 germany- 8.18 pop growth -.08% current pop 82,329,758 birth rate is per 1000

8973/2687 is 3.34% of Germany that dies are infants

5,425/2681 is 2.02% of France that dies are infants

even with the advantage of small population, small population growth, and less live births, it is now statistically proven you have a greater chance of dying as an infant in one of these socialized countries than you do in the U.S.

  • this is all false numbers so u may do as faux and put them out there it doesnt make it true . the USA sadly has among the highest infant death rate in the industrial world and it has to do with no access to healthcare .U might not like it but it doesnt change the facts . The only people that might loose in a reform is only the people making mad money by pocketing people premiums and kicking them out when they need care .

  • umm, they came from the cia factbook, the original numbers. if you disagree with the math, do me a favor and correct me. but don't call my numbers false because you don't agree with them. before july number uninsured, according to the president, were 47 mill. its now 30 mil, according to the president last night. so people have a way of getting covered now.

  • I would think the biggest thing to be talking about is whether or not these other countries have 18,000 people die EVERY YEAR DUE TO LACK OF COVERAGE. Becausee america does.

And also, over 50 percent of bankruptcys in the U.S. are due to overpriced medical bills according to Harvard.

We cant sit back and do nothing.

We have tried it your way, its not working, time for a change.

  • say my way don't work without me giving one? how...enlightening. my way would include reducing government hoops, so that more insurance companies can compete. i would also make it that insurance companies could choose to discriinate based on habbits (smoking, alcoholism, obesity), whether in price or in just not offering the service. this reduces prices for all involved, and gives no moral ground for denying coverage, since you accepted the customer the way he/she is.

  • your way would be awful!!!!

giving the a for profit industry more power to discriminate. Thats about the dumbest idea i have ever heard.

    You just exposed yourself.

    Whats next?

let doctors be above the law and make mal practive lawsuits illegal?

    lol. these arent solutions.

they are ways to make insurance industrys and doctors take more money from us. Thus causing more bankruptcys.

  • what is an insurance company, to begin with? its a group of people who put money in a pool in case of medical emergency, incorporated to protect against fraud and theft. forcing them to accept people results in a person the rest may not want to insure. as for malpractice, i would cap it, and make it a little harder to indight a person of malpractice. malpractice insurance would go down, so doctors can lower prices to compete. a doctor convicted for malpractice, though, would likely never prac.

  • exactly,

which is why Insurance doesnt work with healthcare. Every other civilized country has come to this conclusion.

and has far more access to medicine/healthcare, pays less for it than we do, and has higher satisfaction ratings.

for some dumb reason, america thinks its ok to profit from sick people.

wait until u or a family member is put thru the insurance ringer. your mind will change on these issues. I advise u to watch "sicko". moore can be annoying, but this particular one is good

  • so everyone pools the same amount, regardless of risks, to an organization that has no interest in keeping someone who will cost more than their taxes pay? universal healthcare is saying that no one can practice medicine without the interference of bueracrats and lawyers. they determine what docs make, and its signifigantly lower. food, shelter, and clothes used to take 80% of the average check. cars used to be out of reach. so to tvs. healthcare is the same.

  • if universal healthcare is so bad then why are 36 countrys beating us when it comes to healthcare?

And why are thousands of americans dying due to lack of insurance every year?

And why does america pay MORe for healthcare than any other country that ACTUALLY HAS universal healthcare?

And why is the number 1 reason for bankruptcy in america for healthcare bills?

Sounds like these other countrys got it right. but instead of learning from them, americans act like they are better than everyone.

  • im going to answer in reverse

people don't live within their means, hence the bankruptcy.

we pay more for better technology

are you arguing lack of insurance or pre-existing conditions.

and they are likely beating us because we're fat, binge-drinkers, and are overall simply unhealthy. Europe is a lot better health-wise because its people are naturally healthy, from diet to excersize (distance too short to make car reasonable). as many probs means theres is worse!

  • I just cant listen to BS from idiots like you anymore .....I have been living in one of those countries you speak about here for 20 years.I promise you gonna change your mind , when you will wait in pain for 6 months for simple surgery when you need it, or die from cancer before you will receive the treatment, under your dreamy health reform. Your doctor will treat you like p of SHT, so will medical personal in His / her office.

  • what counrty?

If its russia, then dont even speak, because american healthcare would never become like russia.

If you lived in france, canada, or say Italy, you might be able to make a point.

Those countrys have the best healthcare in the world. Far superior to all.

    America HAS NO HEALTHCARE system.

you can either purchase healthcare or your shit out of luck.

    Something is better than nothing.

  • Go live to one of these countries for a few years and thn will talk ?

  • I wish I could.

But unfortunatly, These countrys dont allow immigrants to come and take everyones jobs like they do here in the US. You cant just go live there because you feel like it.

If my job would let me transfer there, I would leave this country in a split second and hopefully never come back unless things change and Lobbyist lose control of our government. Because right now, The US government is run by coporate lobbyist. We all know this.

ITs why things keep getting worse.

  • All I can tell you is that since I moved to US I DO work I DO pay my health care premium, AND EVEN THOUGH I do have a chronic health condition I have never been denied health coverage.....been 15 years so far. When I lived in one of the countries you speak of , I had to wait months only to see specialist, and when I finnaly got there I often got treated like Pc of crp, simply because they knew im not gonna wait another 6 months to see another doc, so GOOD LUCK with your wishful thinking.

  • what country was it?

    Are you being honest?

Because I have many friends I talk to all the time from Britain, canada, & france & they love thier system & feel sorry for us americans. When they get sick, they dont have to worry about money.

Thier patient satisfaction ratings, mortality, life expectancy, & most every other aspect is superior to the US.

What pre-existing condition do you have?

Because I can name U a huge list of conditions that exclude U from insurance in the US. its a fact.

  • Very few people in Canada actually die while waiting for crucial treatment. Shona Holmes' ad is a total lie.

If you need treatment right away, you will get it right away. Period.

Under the present American system though, you will be hounded like a pariah if you have a pre-existing condition -- that is the NORM, not the exception.

  • I live in DENMARK and we have the best health care here... free paid through taxes.. If i need to talk with my doctor, I can just call him, or even get a time, whenever i want. its all for free, because it actuilly paid through taxes. Health care is a basic right. in any developed country can provide its citizens with Health care
  • I used to live in one of those countries for 25 years and i do know exactly what kind of care you are receiving!!!So you can stop your BS here and now.

  • Nearly 7 American babies die out of every 1,000 live births. More than 28,000 die before their first birthday. "The US infant mortality rate is higher than rates in most other defeloped countries.... The relative position of the United States in comparison to countries with the lowest infant mortality rates appears to be worsening." Researchers Marian F. MacDorman PhD and TJ Mathews From an article on WebMD Health News on Infant Mortality Rates.

  • Hey Sarah Palin, sports stadiums have received a hell of a lot in government funding. What's your conclousion, Mrs. Palin:

"Those nazi ballparks, I tell ya - somebody oughtta organize a shout-down of all dem dere ball players, they're a buncha socialists. And lemme tell ya, when they talk about strike-outs - you know what that means, doncha. They're runnin' death camps and beatin' poor innocent little babies with baseball bats. You betcha.

  • That has been the biggest problem with the opponents of health insurance reform, they point out things supposedly in the bill (but not), and then claim you didn't read it. Hard to read something that isn't there? Some cons need to use their head for more than just a hat rack. Although, if I was a heartless bastard I might be taking the same path. Some would argue that with me being atheist I should already be down that path. Hell, all christians should be for NHC it helps all of "gods children"

  • as a christian, i find it terrible to shove the care of everyone in a country to a small, corruptible group of people. and funding of other people's needs without their consent is stealing; its taking money from one group of people, without their say, and giving it to another. so really, christians should be against higher taxes %90 of the time! this is one of those times.

  • More than 18,000 people with treatable illnesses die each year in our country due to lack of insurance. TThat was from a well-designed research study from the Institute of Medicine.

That's an example of what's happening here in the US, and THAT is what you- as a "christian" -are endorsing.

  • first, how many of those 18,000 are illegal immigrants, who wouldn't pay the portion of taxes for this program that the minimum wage person would pay? second, should we change our system to accommodate .005% of our population, assuming already that those 18000 pay taxes? the government is not the instrument of religion.

  • it relies on the taxes it collects to give those services to its tax-payers. look at the death rate in our country, then other countries. you will find that we are pretty low, being beat out by countries with either higher population or a higher emigration rate, meaning there are less people staying in that system to die. The U.K, even with their brilliant plan, are worse than us in both these regards.

  • It was a study on American Citizens.

I don't know what religion you profess as dictating your objections to health care reform, but you've made it obvious that it has nothing to do with humanity.

  • humanity has nothing to do with taking from one group, without consent, and giving to another group, in this case without consent either. socialized medicine has resulted in long lines, less care, and malpractice from lack of good doctors. so, for humanities sake, i say improve what we've got, don't send us to a system that sucks even worse.

  • That's SOME. When I return from work, I'll continue the list of government funding for sports stadiums. (Oh, no! That would make them Communist according to Fox "News"!)

  • ur right, we do fund them too much. thank u for adding this valuable contribution to the disscusion.

  • And in accordance with Fox News' claim, these ball parks are "socialist" and want to "outlaw" privately owned ball parks.

  • whatever the logic, we shouldn't be funding these ball-parks. they should pay their players a little less to make up for the funding. it gives these stadiums an unfair advantage in recieving funds from people that have no choice in the matter!

  • Some baseball Parks that rec'd public funds in the past 8 years:

    2000-Minute Maid Park-Cost $266,000,00-government funding: 67%

    2000-Comerica Park-$300,000,000-gov funding 50%

    2001 Miller Park $322,000,000 gov funding 64%

    2001 PNC Park $230,000,000 gov funding 71%

    2003-Great American all Park-$297,000,000 gov funding 17%

2004 Citizens Bank Park $346,000,000 gov funding 50%

    2004 PETCO Park $422,000,000 gov funding 70%

    2008 Nationals Park $611,000,000 gov funding 100%

  • I dare you to tally up the government funding that has gone to Baseball stadiums alone in the past eight years.

THEN we'll add up the Football stadiums and how much in tax dollars went to building those.

  • What's absurd is that Medicare provides a better selection of doctors than HMOs. These propagandists are absurd.

...and in terms of some myopic rhubarb's objections to a public option which will offer competition in the ins marketplace as well as provide alternative insurance - which you would pay for on a SLIDING SCALE FEE BASIS, look into costs for Baseball parks & Football stadiums & how much was rec'd public funding in the past 8 yrs.

  • SUBTITLE G SEC 2714 ENSURING VALUE AND LOWER PREMIUMS Each health ins issuer..shall provide that for any plan yr in which the covrge has a medical loss ratio below level..the issuer shall provide..for rebates to enrollees of payment sufficient t meet such loss ratio. Such methodolgy shall be set at the highest level medicl loss ratio..that is designed to ensure adquate participation by issuers, competition in the health ins market and value for consumers so that their prems are used for services

  • so, because government "covers" it all, we're supposed to just accept it? it creates a monopoly. one where everyone pays, whether they want to or not. since premiums don't pay for the benefits everyone wants, how high of a tax do we need? if the representitive doesn't vote against it, he or she is going to vote for new measures to fund it. How high? you seem to want this, so pleae, tell me how high the taxes will be!

  • Speaking of high, when you get on a plane aren't you glad you it's run by a pilot, or would prefer for somebody with just a drivers license to run it and put a parachute on you & then throw you out at the midway point. Heaven forbid we should have benefits that correspond with standards of care - which is a regulation also! OH NO! RUN AND HIDE!

  • and the answer to my question? and besides, being able to pilot an aircraft is more a demand of pilot's survival than government standards- flights like to keep passengers alive so that they would pay to ride again. and the costs to keep this passable, semi-private flight system? pretty high. who prevents new competition? the government. so really, you have government to thank for cold drinks to be considered a great plus!

  • No wonder Obama is not familiar with some of the provisions that don't exist. He's good but he aint that good.

  • Recent NATIONAL POLLS show that PRO-LIFE ACTIVISTS overwhelmingly SUPPORT President Obama HEALTH CARE REFORM & PUBLIC OPTION

Because it will be a SURE WAY to provide GUARANTEED & AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE for the MOTHER and her BABY.

Who can possibly argue with this. I think it makes a whole lot of sense.

  • If the bill is so bad on it's own, why do conservatives need to rely on so much misinformation to kill it??

I seems dishonesty is the new champion of the GOP. Sad.

  • (1) LIMITATION ON NEW ENROLLMENT-

    (A) IN GENERAL- Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day of Y1.

this means that no new people can join private insurance. combine with the increase in taxes that make continuing with a plan unnaffordable, it will at least destroy private insurance. say hello to government monopoly.

  • If ONLY it was REALLY true -- a single-payer system is needed!

  • one, it is really true, so your wich is fulfilled. second, as a right-wing conservative nutjob, i am confused as to how a single payer system is needed. could you please edumicate me?

  • Bullshit. The paragraph you have written here to is a subparagraph under the GRANDFATHER clause, which is a clause that accepts older insurances for a 5-year term but eventually the insurances have to be in compliance with this bill, you insipid, deceiptful beast.

  • It has nothing to do with a government monopoly. You extracted this subparagraph, which is under the GRANDFATHER section of the bill, which provides for OLDER, OUTDATED insurance provisions to be grandfathered out for a term of five years, then they have to be in compliance with the CONSUMER PROTECTIONS provided in this bill. You are purposely taking this out of context, and it is shameful.

  • (c) Limitation on Individual Health Insurance Coverage-

    (1) IN GENERAL- Individual health insurance coverage that is not grandfathered health insurance coverage under subsection (a) may only be offered on or after the first day of Y1 as an Exchange-participating health benefits plan.

    (3) ENROLLMENT- The Commissioner shall establish and carry out an enrollment process for Exchange-eligible individuals and employers, including at community locations, in accordance with subsection (b).

  • (2) EXCHANGE-PARTICIPATING HEALTH BENEFITS PLANS- In the case of an Exchange-participating health benefits plan, such plan is required under section 203 to provide specified levels of benefits and, in the case of a plan offering a premium-plus level of benefits, provide additional benefits.

    a) In General- The Commissioner shall specify the benefits to be made available under Exchange-participating health benefits plans during each plan year, consistent with subtitle C of title I and this section

  • Consistent with Subtitle C-Standards GUARANTEEING ACCESS TO ESSENTIAL BENEFITS.

  • essentially, the commisioner says what the care is that the insurance companies your enrolled in take. if they don't want government in, then they can't be elligible to recieve new people; they die. government left. government monopoly. no new people, since they will have to register with the government in order to be in buisness, meaning you rely on the people who are already losing money faster than they can gain it. that does not bode well.

  • The gang at fox "news" is pathetic. I'm sure some people tune in just for a laugh but too many toothless, bible believing, gun loving morons take all this crap to heart.

  • They need to kill private insurance its a joke, as soon as you get sick they get going because you cost them to much.

  • I LOVE YOU MEDIA MATTERS :)

  • why wouldnt they let you change insurance whats the point?

  • With more than 60% of US bankruptcies are related to medical bills, an increase of nearly 50% in a six-year period, and three-quarters of these people had medical insurance. No other country has a medical system that makes people go bankrupt. Our health care system is totally broken. This is a clear case of health insurance companies behaving badly.

Unless you are the health insurance companies, no reform is not an option for most of us. We need to exercise our right to build a better future.

  • im not for the whole obama health reform, but still if u want to smash other views by saying ohh no there just lying dont believe them. i think that is just bull. what u should do is take them out by facts and from looking at this video i see that the makers couldn't find or didn't attempt to find the information they can to debate the theory. i haven't read the bill my self but i don't think reform should come from socializing but from reviewing and upgrading

  • AIG is the biggest private insurance company in the world. How much has AIG cost the taxpayers so far?

  • you know that CEOs that will fuck you over for a buck has our interest in mind than the people we elect.

The whole point is. IF people don't have confidence in those they elect then of course everything done or tried will just fail!. But let the conservatives lie, and let them convince idiots to go against their own interest for the interest of the wealthy elite.

  • THAT's IT..I am reporting this channel to the snitch program for posting such BULLSHIT.

  • The only mis-information I see and hear is the Media and clips just like these. The section talked about is 102 and partialy shown here by "Mitchpate". It will effectivly elliminate private insurance over time in lawyer speak. The problem is, there are all sorts of Sections just like this throughout this crap of a bill, a huge effort to hide it by people just like 'Mediamatters' and an effort to ram it through bypassing a true debate or dialog.

  • ok cool. What's wrong with eliminating private health insurance. They operate like car insurance. There is competition, but it is in something that shouldn't be on the free market, and should be fucking socialized!!! My god do you even know how these companies make money. Insurance companies make money by refusing to cover claims. Yes health insurance works just like any other insurance and that's stupid to have such a system because people will always be sick and its sick to exploit this!

  • Go read HR3200 §102 for yourself. §102(a)(1) really is called "Limitation on new enrollment".

I know looking for yourself hurts so I included some of it below.

    (A) IN GENERAL- Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day of Y1.

  • insurance companies should be outlawed after they have put the crooks that run the companies in a FEMA camp for an 'undetermined length of time" without their families knowing, and the benefit of a lawyer

  • What sanctions has the US law got against these people. I'm all out for freedom of speech but not freedom to lie and decieve the public.

Are there any criminal proceedings against these liars? How are they going?

  • wrapped....hmmm...I would hope if there is a law against liars we could use that to get obama out of the white house

  • and they are proven liars...because media matters says so? and if we are going to start arresting liars, we might as well put capital hills in chains.

  • too bad i seen the provision there all talking about media matters and i hate to break it to ya they didnt make it up. the provision doesnt say "private insurance will be made illegal" it says that u cannot buy private insurance if u get fired or leave your job, u have to get on the govt plan. It also says that when this bill goes into effect, u cannot switch to another private plan if ur already on one. u have to go to the govt plan if u decide to drop ur insurance for any reason.

  • it doesn't change the system at all and that would my problem. How does it lower the cost? Because if hospitals decide to be assholes and decide to treat the gov't's plan like an HMO we're all fucked to tell you the truth.

  • This is revolting. I'd send this video to my mom, but she wouldn't buy it. She is CONVINCED that Obama is a non-citizen who is on some kind of stupid, secret "mission" to "destroy the United States of America" (as though there's another United States out there..) Anyway, conversation with her has become rather tense and short lately. Too bad.

  • elf....what is there to buy??? You people are so brained washed it isn't even funny.

Good for your mother for rejecting it. WIsh you had gotten her smarts

  • The problem with the Republican Party is their hypocrisy. The only valid point they have is worrying about the federal deficit. I really hope I had more positive things to say about the Republican Party, but I don't.

They haven't learned their lesson. They put amendments in the Stimulus Bill, Omnibus bill, and now Healthcare bill, and then claim they are voting against it because there is too much pork, THAT THEY ADDED TO THE BILL!

  • very true. The republican party has the potential to be much more than "those assholes who always yell about everything." It is just that the regular republicans don't yell so the dumb asses yell over them. Thats why we hear all about Rush, Savage, Dobbs, and Beck. Its just more fun to talk about the douchebags i guess.

  • Maher: This is because we don't have a left and a right party in this country any more. We have a center right party, and a crazy party. And over the last thirty odd years, Democrats have moved to the right, and the right has moved into a mental hospital.

  • silber...exactly!!!!!!!!!

  • They did the same thing during the stimulus bill. Constantly making up provisions that someone, somewhere in the hallways or the restrooms whispered to the plumbing pipe but was amplified ten folds with malice and forethought to smear the bill.

  • I say we make a statement. Aug 1st send a single roll of toilet paper to those in Washington who are so full of it they can't hear us.!!!!

  • Oh god this is disgusting—can't people fucking read!

Proof that evolution is real = conservatives.

  • If a black cat crosses your path...you will die! You will, you will!

  • Come on folks. Let's get together. No one is going to take the Republican party back from those loonies who worship Limbaug. Conservatives have to circle the wagons and start again. American conservatives are not dead because the RNC is dead.

  • The problem is the President is letting Pelosi, Reed. Axelrod and Emanuel run the Country. He needs to stick around and actually work on this stuff himself. Leaving it in their hands is bankrupting the Country.

  • Hey, it is the responsibility of the Congress to make all laws, and the President is simply suppose to enforce them. Therefore, your criticism is nonsense.

  • i call BULLSHIT. who are these fuckheads??

  • Did you hear one of the early Faux quotes: "Some believe that..." That's typical Faux. They say NOTHING.

Such typical Faux misinformation. And Untermensch Limbaugh rambles on. He should be in jail.

  • I was actually hoping to be shown something.

    "It's not in the bill"

That doesn't really convince me of anything. It's no different then any of them saying it is in the bill.

Is the bill online? Can we see it? If yes let's find it.

Doesn't matter either way. It's a trap to covert to single payer anyways. You can either pay for your private insurance and the insurance for the uninsured or, you can just get government health care. You have to be naive not to see this.

  • GOP KO'd!

  • Opening insurance across state lines would mean that all the insurance companies would move to the least regulated state, so that they could deny coverage and line their pockets. Opening insurance across state lines is a dream come true for big insurance companies.

  • Wrong they lobbyed Congress to make the State regulation so they would have a monopoply in each State. It cut their competition. You use to be able to shop hundreds for premium prices now you are limited to the maybe dozen or less in your State. And each State has its own regulation on what you can and cannot buy.

  • I LOVE YOU, MEDIA MATTERS!!!!

  • SUCK IT 2010GOP!

  • There are many ways they can cut healthcare cost without higher taxes and running up our exploding deficit. Just opening up purchasing power across State lines could give17 million access to affordable care. There are health saving and health status insurance that you could carry with you your whole life from job to job. Deregulating the industry would allow complete competition that lets consumers drive cost.

  • Yeah, look how well deregulation did in the financial industries. Deregulation of the insurance companies would just give them a license to deny more care and line their pockets at the expense of the people. The insurance companies are all crooks who don't give a damn about people only money.

  • You could buy Health status Insurance that would pay your higher premiums for next to nothing. Gov. healthcare won't be free. We already have socialized healthcare in medicare medicade and it is going broke. It doesn't work. It waste $1 to every $3 it spends. Is that a plan worth expanding. Countries with Gov. systems all are having cost problems. They are payed for through high income, sales and payrole taxes. And they experience rationed care and long waiting list. Is that what you want?

  • The Government can't run anything effeciently. Every Government program waste money and cost more then private sector business. How anyone would trust them with something as important as individual healthcare is beyond me. I do not want Gov. to tell me I can or cannot have services or limit my access to quality care.

  • Really? Name one private company willing to deliver a letter cross-country for less than 50 cents. I think having the government run health care is LESS scary than allowing those that are purely motivated by profit to decide my access to quality care and services.

  • Brought to you by the same assholes who sold you IRAQ, and tried to sell you privatized Social Security. They are only interested in the raping and pillaging of any wealth that remains in the country.

  • LOL , C'mon John, You're not really that stupid.

  • No I'm not. I've seen far too much to swallow any conservative talking points ever again.

  • FUCK insurance companies...what in the hell have they ever done for us? other than steal from Americans by jacking up health insurance costs, dropping people when the need insurance the most, denying them because they have "pre existing conditions"...umm aren't THEY the people who need insurance the most? HELLOO! why in the hell should we care about these health insurance companies? they are making BILLIONS off of helpless people who have no other choice.

  • We've already got socialized medicine. Government already pays for half of Americans' medical care and they have done a great job to drive COST UP.

Much of the U.S. health-care sector is private. But private markets are not necessarily free markets. What matters is who controls how the resources are used. More often than not, that "who" is government. Congress has worked w/ insurance and the health industry to reduce competition so they make money at the consumers expence. They're all bad.

  • Lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies! How do you know a republican is lying? Their mounts are moving!

  • these people r morons. im under kaiser now and i'll be under kaiser years from now. the government run health insurance is meant to COMPETE with private insurance.

  • The best of what Kaiser does, is the MODEL for Obama's health care plan.

  • You have to remmeber fox, rush, hannity, pat b. and savage are racist people they rather see the prez. fail than help the american people. the republicans are anti-americans we should send there butts to afganistan or iraq. they are worst than the taliban.

  • You need to try not to make broad generalizations like that. Not every republican is marching lockstep with Fox, Rush, Sanity and Savage. I do agree that anyone who sucks up everything those comedians and praises it as the word of god should volunteer to fight in Iraq and end that war asap if they are physically able, or use every spare cent they have to pay people willing to. We actually have a reason to be in Afganistan, imo. The current crop of republican figureheads are certainly insane.

  • If they are going to lie like this why can't we just go for single payer. It would be so much better for all of us.

  • Single payer systems are failing around the world. They are costly with rationed care . Most of those Conutries pay 40% to 62% middle income tax and high sales taxes 12% to 25%. This plan will be costly. We still don't know what the premiums will cost or what the deductables are. Or co-pays. And what the plan covers we don't know if it covers second opinions. Plus do you want some panel in Washington deciding wether you should recieve a certain costly treatment that might save your life?

  • They really should read HR 3200 before making these statements.

  • Watch "OUTFOXED" on Youtube !

TURN OFF FOX NEWS AND GET INFORMED !!!

  • It will make private illegal insurance illegal. I read it in one of my videos. BUT I agree with it so that's the difference.

It would outlaw any NEW Private Insurance coverage after Y1 (year after the bill is passed to next year). What I object too is the 2.5% tax on the poor that the bill suggest to levy (on people who can't afford health coverage in the first place). Single Payer is the only answer.

  • I didn't realize that mediamatters4america was a completely left wing propaganda organization.

  • I didn't realize that idiots could access the internet. But after reading your comment I realize....they can.

  • Perhaps you should open your eyes and read their "About us" section at the top of their page. They basically spell it out for all the ignorant people that cry bias. The organization is openly broadcasting their stance rather than hiding behind "fair and balanced".

  • These conservatives just love to lie about and manipulate everything they can.

  • One of the sponsors for the morning show "Fox and friends" is Aflac. Im not joking. They even have an AFLAC question of the day. So it makes PERFECT sense that they would trash this bill. Even Rush Limbaugh is paid by insurance companies. He made 30 million dollars salary plus a 70 million dollar bonus for renewing a ONE YEAR CONTRACT to do his show... C'mon now...

  • Wow, you're not going to believe this... Geico is a CNN SPONSOR! I'm not even kidding.

NOTE: If you are going to try to start a controversy, maybe you should make sure your side of the spectum is squeaky clean.

    Just sayin'.

  • You dont have to be a liberal to dislike Fox News... JACK ASS... or all news mediums for that matter.

When you think of Geico, you think of AUTO INSURANCE... Completely different than whats been going on lately. Granted they do have medical as well... yada yada yada... But when people think Health care, they dont think Geico!

NOTE: If your going to be a typical YOUTUBE idiot you should at least make sure the knot around your neck is tight and your feet aren't touching the floor.

    Just sayin'.

  • When you put up a double standard like that, you won't win the debate. Medical insurance IS medical insurance.

Now if Geico isn't convincing enough I do have some more insurance providers- AARP and EHealth Insurance Company, both of which focus on medical insurance.

On another note, I especially like the classiness of your suicide comment. That was really mature (oh, and the "jackass" bit was also very elementary). Now I invite you to actually present your argument with real, unbiased facts.

  • Your a 16 year old kid trying to start a debate with me about health care. This is going nowhere fast...

  • Comment removed

  • Of course Rush and Hannity are jumping all over this bill , they are the rich people who don't want anything good for the average joe....lets see Rush make 40 mill. a year hannity makes like 12mil a year ......who do you think they represent.people its not you or me ......

  • A Bill doesn't become a Bill until it is signed by the President..they are making changes as it goes thru congress....what may be on the bill now , may not be on the bill tomorrow .....so get off the president's ass and see what they come up with , congress is still working on it ...Geeezzzzzzzz
