  • Video shows exact that the choice is more based upon personal preference than anything.

We talk about a bit over 1C difference between 6 and 12 mm, nothing more.

Look for The impact of tubing sizes at xtremesystems.

I prefer 8mm fuel hoses (running with 10mm atm.)

Why? Because the can be fit in tighter areas and the temperature difference is below 1C.

  • red tube , lol xd

  • Great video very informative as all the others you upload.

  • Very nice video! I would like to know, if I use 3/8 ID and 1/2 OD compression fittings, my tube should be 1/2 ID and 3/4 OD??

  • Thank you that tut helped me alot

  • lol 'retarded anti kink coils'

I used to think that, but the more I see em, the more I don't mind em

    Thanks for the video

  • They are OK, when they are perfectly spaced and nice color coded with tube color. Otherwise they look awful.

  • Finally something usefull on youtube about lcs :)

  • Hi mate, can you tell me what the OD of that thinner tubing is??

    Is it 1/2" OD?

I am in the process of setting up my very first custom loop, but I am still confused with some things.

I have went for 3/8" ID 5/8" OD XSPC tubing for my loop, as I prefer the thicker style tubing personally, I find 1/2" OD doesn't look right.

I've also went for some Bitspower compression fittings with some rotary 45's for fitting them to my Heatkiller 3 CU.

    I will be cooling my i7 920 D0 & my GTX280

  • Small tube:

Feser Tube UV Hose - 3/8" ID - 1/2" OD

    Large tube:

Feser Tube UV Hose - 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD

  • Thanks m8 that was a clear explanation. Helped a lot.

  • Now say "my wife, she was very good at plough, she dead now though, high five!" :D

But in seriousness, nice clear explanation of the tubing. I personally use 3/8"ID 1/2"OD, but I have used 8mm ID with push-fittings, I much prefer 3/8 it looks much nicer and performs a little better.

  • Hah, Borat is out of fashion now :)

  • Nah, I much prefer him to Bruno D:

Sick case though, strange colour choice with the GA-58 Extremne though, I used UV blue tube to match + Clear coolant :)

    When you said about

  • You can not see mobo color when case is closed. All you can see is acid green glow on black background, so color of tube can anything you want.

  • Great vid DazMode. I use Tygon 1/2 - 3/4 and it's very easy to work with compression fittings. Agree with the anti-kink coil, it's tacky looking.

  • Thanks! Just for reference, I played with piece of clear Tygon and it does NOT bend any better then TFC tube I've used in my video.

So, if you buy Tygon in expectation of tighter turns, you might feel better, but will gain nothing... :)
