All (all being 2 lol) the horses I've owned have been rescued. My first boy was truly amazing. A lot of people in fact were quite jealous of some of the things we accomplished. Its disgusting to know how some people can treat their horses. Especially one as amazing as he who had NEVER done anything that had made me had a "bad day"

And my new boy, oh wow is he smart! He is such a fast learner and its easy to see he tries very hard to make me happy.

@Cheesekake343 That's so excellent!! I wish more people would rescue horses, instead of going out and buying or breeding. There are thousands of really quality horses that end up at slaughter every year... OTTBs, ranch horses, amish carthorses, and a shocking number of show horses end up there. Just last week, a papered hanovarian with a show record was at the Broker Lot. Sickening. I hope she found a home. Good luck with your horses!! :)

@matrixmare Oh I know!!! My old trainer actually got an OTTB and she turned out to be Secretariat's granddaughter, Seattle Slew's Granddaughter, and even had Man O War in her lines somewhere. Her feet tho were cracked all the way to the where the fur started. It was horrible.

You'd be surprised to see what kind of horses can be found at auctions and rescue sanctuaries. I hope that mare found a good home as well. I agree that people should always look into rescuing first. (-:

this is amazing : ) I really hope to have rescue horses one day, well I kinda do both horses ive had were OTTBs and most of thos end up at slaughter. but its awesome that you help them like this and even found an awesome partner out of it

@eventer4life17 That's awesome! It's baffling to know how many great horses end up at slaughter. There's no reason to throw such nice horses away. And so many OTTBs, who pour their heart and soul out on the track, end up there... I hate people so much sometimes.
