Yes, that's Kate Winslet singing. For unfathomable reasons, the official soundtrack CD has Jane Eaglen (a professional soprano) performing this song in operatic fashion. To think I almost bought the soundtrack hoping it would have Kate singing on it. :-(

@Bzzee Hahaha. It's funny you should mention that. I think because of his role as Colonel Brandon I was always somewhat partial to the character of Snape, even before I finished the series. I just felt there was more to the character that met the eye, and Alan Rickman DEFINITELY played it well.
