You forgot Great Pyrenees 27-32 inches, they are around 100 pounds. I have a Golden Pyrenees; they are new and have been up for a National breed. My dog has red milky fur; he is so loving and cares for me as much as I care for him. Wonderful personality and is very intelligent.

I have a great pyrenees and she is the most gentlest dog i have ever known. When my sister was a baby she would kling on to the dogs fur and pull her self up,the dog wouldn't move a muscle so don't judge a dog by its size or because its breed was bred for fighting just like you shouldn't judge people by their looks.

I had an Old English Mastiff,175 lbs when my daughter was 1, and the dog was very self-aware. She would never run in my baby's presence, she let my daughter yank and pull and pinch without even flinching, and best of all, she would have given her own life to protect my family. Can't speak for all big dogs, but mastiffs are great with small kids.

@wolfpredator286 i have 3 tibetan mastiff in my farm house. they guard the whole 3 acres in the night. they sleep during daytime.my grandfather had 2 tibetan mastiff which used to guard wood logs in forest in night they both had managed to kill a leopard once when it was trying to get in the wooden hut for hunting goats.all dogs which u have mentioned i have heard about them as many of my friends have those breeds but i tell you this. get a tibetan mastiff and you will know

i cannot say i agree with this. from experience and owning a kangal myself i cant think of a better guard dog. aswell as being natural born guardians and fighters they are fearless, agile, and ridiculously powerful. i will accept they are stubborn learners but make up for it with the loyalty they give their owner and their family. there is no other dog bred for the purpose of fighting and killing wolves and over the past decade cheaters in africa.imo no other dog can compare to a purebred kangal

yes nearly all, but i mean as in the sense my dog will back me whatever the situation. ive seen how he acts when he feels i may be threatend and this is without training. any dog can be trained commands but its insticive ability to fight is a different subject. hardcore guard dogs are natural fighters, eg. dogo,presa canario,tosa inu, cao, caucasion, kangal. whereas pitbulls have to be MADE into fighters, without training they get BODIED.
