I actually did confront the Super Mutants (more so by accident, because I wasn't sure where the Rivet City entrance side was, and backtracked into their Perception range), but you can take them down with a little bit of patience and luck).

Another fun one is running to the Outcast base to start Operation:Anchorage to have the non-degrading T51b Power Armor and Chinese Stealth Suit to carry you through the rest of the game (the Gauss rifle is nice too).

@hairyicedude HAha. On Red Dead Redemption, I had the same horse from the beginning, then around the end of the game a cougar killed it, so I skinned it. I would sell all my dead animal furs and meat but I always kept my horse's meat and fur. Haha. I had some good times with that stupid horse.

Supermutants are a huge problem. The only mutant I wouldn't stop to get off my ass if I had at least a 10mm SMG is the more powerful supermutants, yao guai, and deathclaws.

Here's a much better method to get to rivet city:

Press ~ to get open the console. Type tgm for GODMODE. Type tcl for NO CLIP.

Go straight to rivet city (bottom right of world map), ignore all enemies and buildings. Turn off cheats when you're done. Have fun.

Great video! It's cool that you can go to rivet city right after leaving the vault. I almost tried going there the way 3-Dog recomends but i found it easier to just head south and swim there.

There's less enemies to fight and a little radiation bath won't hurt you.

I went from vault 101 to rivet city with 9 intel at level 2 to get the extra skill points, and it took forever to get there, even on very easy. This will be a great help when i start again tonight

actually you only go back to kill the new overseer if you killed the first overseer in the beggining. if you didn't kill him in the beggining and avoided him like i did. you go back to the same overseer when you return.

well i was lvl 18 when i got the quest but when i got it i had already beaten the game.meee make town of metal go boom! hehehe! when i came back to the overseer to solve the problem. i had fawkes with me. since everyone in there is so easy to kill and it take more than 10 behemoths to kill fawkes i put him on melee combat .overseer attacked me. i was gonna avoid em but fawkes was like. ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! die bitch and knocked him in one hit dead all the way across the room. it was funny!!!!!!

if you walk around megaton and vault 101 for a while when u r a higher lvl then u will get a vault 101 distress call and u can go back in the vault

Just cos we dont see it, doesn't mean there wasn't an olympic syzed swimming pool in there. :P Or maybe a large water reservoir. The game has like 10 people wandering around Vault 101; aren't Vaults sposed to have, like, 1000 people living in them initially? Probably more after 200 years 'cos with limited options for spending their time, you'd think they'd b humping like rabbits. You don't see that either. The game didnt even touch on it.
