Well obviously not everyone agrees with his writing ability and technical skill is really the only thing left to gauge talent by. I'm not saying he SUCKED at playing bass, just that he wasn't nearly as talented a people now give him credit for and there are much better bass players aroud now who'll never get the recognition they deserve because everyone's too busy sucking Cliff's dick to notice.

Orion isn't even the best Metallica instrumental. Call of the Ktulu is much better.
