do you know how to get geektool to start up with all my geeklets starting automatically in start up? i can ge the program to start up when i log in automatically but i have to click the "shell" icon to get the geeklets to all to show up again and its annoying to have to do this every time i turn on my mac

@CoolEnufForaMac what refresh time should i set for my time it only shows hours and minutes so should i set 60 sec or 1 sec also i remember i think when i set 60 secs it was late 1 minute

@bigfetz55 Did you upgrade to Lion? If so, then you can't use Geektool till they upgrade it.

Do you have that camouflage app that hides your desktop icons? If so, the shells won't show up till you turn that off.

cool! does geektool slow down your mac? cuz i have a macbook and i just wiped and reinstalled leopard becuase i had so many files and background apps taking up memory.

That's why so many people like using Geektool, you can have your information available without it taking up too much RAM. As long as you don't have thirty items on your desktop with low refresh rates of 10 seconds or less, you should be fine.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't download, it's just a basic .dmg file. I guess try to download from another site or the Bodega app store (Google either "Geektool download" or "Bodega Mac" to find them). See if the file cooperates that way otherwise I don't know what happened.
