  • FYI to joe101. First of all your language is uncool. Second, when ever you practice rudiments, the idea isn't "time", it's the idea of practicing and playing at ANY speed since not every song is the same tempo. The "correct" way of practicing these rudiments is so that you go from slow to fast WITHOUT hearing the transition to when you start bouncing the sticks. It is the process of teaching you how to be a "clean" drummer. Always start out at a tempo that is comfortable, then naturally you wil

  • this rudiment isn't a very handy one, since you've got that nasty triple stroke going on. i prefer the mill.

  • @allmetaliswelcome It's useful on a kit when you just play it as FRLL or FLRR.

  • @EricSF88 yea that's true

  • no tenes novia sorete???

  • @armanisn No speaky Espanol.

    No offense.

  • @CombinedProductions0 porque no habla espanol? haha:D if someone speaks spanish at you, just say "no hablo espanol, lo siento" that means "I don't speak spanish sorry."

  • I enjoy the flam taps a lot.

  • I have trouble with the flams within it, I tend to hit the notes at the same time and I really can't help it. This is one I need to work on quite a bit.

  • intaum....

    .....bateria, caixa?

  • It calls Flamadiddles too! xDD

  • Im just a noob who play GHWt drums but this video dosent have any instructions. Its nice to see but what techniques i use?????

  • It's the same pattern as paradiddles (Rlrr, Lrll or single single double) just slightly altered to accommodate a flam - (lRlrr, rLrll). Basically it's the same pattern but just with a ghost note in front of it. Btw, the capital letters I used represent where the accent should go. I hope this helps.

  • ... i play both, GHWT and real drums (real drums first)..

You dont need instructions to play drums.. just watching is enough..

  • uhh, the video IS The Instruction.

  • welcome to hotel yesterday,,,u missed check in by 6 months.

  • nah, im early

  • i call them flamadiddles too sonnnnn

  • was gonna say since the name describes how they sound i would call them flamadiddles too :D

  • nice drumsticks

  • lol, mine too.

  • My band teacher calls them flamadiddles. lol

  • @jazziejc lol thats what i was saying to myself when i heard it played

  • Is it just me, or does this guy not have all this stuff mastered? If I was going to have a site like this I would sure master every rudiment at various tempos!

  • I guess I would agree wtih you, after reading what you wrote, and then seeing for myself.

My question is, why are there more pros watching these vids than beginners? :P I know I'm trying to learn these.

  • Forgot that I sent this. As for Pro's on these site. With the way this is setup on here, if you go to one video another comes up with a different topic. I could look at a drummer and then it would link to something like rudiments. As for the rudiments, you can learn singles, doubles, and flams and you will be able to learn anything else. Those 3 makeup all the other ones. Hope this helps.

  • this is a new concept for me...mixing the flam and the parra; i will try it. thanks!

  • very cool - thanks

  • The sticking is incorrect, but I appreciate you posting these videos. I will recommend them to my students. The following link has the correct sickings. vicfirth(dot)com/education/rudiments/26flamadiddle-diddle.html

  • The sticking actually is correct, McPhystal. I believe you are thinking of the flam paradiddle-diddle; this is the flam paradiddle.

  • your flams became a beat with two hands at about 00:23.. notwishstanding this it's good :D

  • I don't know where'd I'd be without these videos!
