  • "Go away! Wubba Wubba! Go chase a mouse!"

I love Oscar, he cracks me up! This is my kinda street scene! Oscar the Grouch and a cute wittle kitten. Two of my favorite things!

  • There are some 90's stuff I like. I think I stopped watching in between 1995 and 1997 (around the ages of 13 and 15, I was born in 1982). The only thing I didn't care much for in the 1990's was the change of theme song.

  • oskers voice sounds like kermitt the frog

  • XD when i was litul i never seen this an at the age of 14 i wont hesatat to say ...awsome!!!!

  • How can an elephant fit in a trash can?

  • This episode is a metaphor. Sally is Jerry Spinger. The Kitten=Pussy=Prostitute. Grouch fucks prostitute, prostitute won't leave, Grouch searches for her pimp, falls in love with prostitute.

    "gets involved with kitten"

    "gave her milk"

    "all the yuky details"

  • grovers the best

  • But what I would absolutely die to see is an upload of the episode where they celebrate Grouch Appreciation Day. Now there was a rare episode in which the inserts took second place to the street scenes. So, if anyone has that or episodes with one of the three grouches I just mentioned, don't hesitate. Bring 'em on!

  • Another notable grouch was Oscar's brother Earnest. He has his own page on Muppet Wiki. I'd love for somene to upload the episode when he came to visit. Two other grouches not on the Wiki are the grouch magician known as the Great Blacchini ("Ala Sour Grapes!") and Old YuckDonald from the story "The Grouches Who Lost All Their Pickles". It would be great if someone could upload those episodes as well.

  • Yes, the kitten IS cute!

  • What kin of milk are thay realy talking about ?

  • i love elmo

  • That is funny, it reminds me of my husband who hates cats: L.O.L.

It's been a ages since I've watched Seasame Street, like ages: L.O.L.

  • I cried @ 7:23.

  • why?

  • I loved the older episodes of Sesame Street! The newer 1s r ok but when Sesame 1st started this show was awesome (sorry if I offended anyone by this comment) ^_^

  • Not at all. The classic street was the best :)

Anyone know what year this was?

  • ...That cat is probably dead by now. D:

  • lol, that's so messed up to say but probably so street

  • i watched this episode a long time ago..brings back memories..now my kids love sesame street

  • he gave her some milk!!!!! lol lol

  • I hate that opening title. I miss the old one. I think they changed it just a little bit after I stopped watching it. (I have two younger sisters so we probably watched it for a while.)

  • I last watched the show when I was five years old, which was by the time this became the new opening sequence. But this was the opening used when my little brother watched the show. It was cute at first, but then got annoying.

  • OMG its carla! I love her!

  • oh yeah Carla the new stuff sucks

  • That green dude with the green hair needs help he keeps fainting, but then agian hes a grouch so meh.

  • sally messy yikyael? thats wird?

  • That intro released when I was only 2 years old until I was only 8 years old.

  • Comment removed

  • I know that in 1992, besides introducing the Calypso opening theme and "dancing city" credits, they also changed the Monsterpiece Theater and Super Grover title cards.

  • Cool. I would love to to be the next Sally Messy Yuckyael. It's my big dream to be her. Because she rocks.

  • I loved this. Sally Messy Yuckyael is so grouchy I like her. I like her glasses her necklace and her mic. She has her hair in such a messy hairstyle in grouchy bunches it suits her and she is so grouchy like Oscar. I like Sally Messy Yuckyael she rocks did Fran Brill do the voice for Sally Messy Yuckyael?

  • No, actually, Louise Gold, who also had a cameo as the owner of the kitten that Oscar found provides the voice for Sally

  • You know, it true, "You don't know what you got 'til it's gone." This theme is one of those cases.

  • Its been so long since i saw that intro I can hardly remember it. Good times. 90s PBS was the greatest.

  • I have a kitty just LIKE that.

  • The 1992-93 season looks like from an '87 to 88.

    and the '90 to 91 and '91 to '92 season looks like from a '86 to '87

  • The NY times says that these episodes are now rated PG-13... due to mature content.

  • Oprah Grouchy?

  • Grouchy springer

  • This Sesame Street opening was the opening from 1990 to 1995.

  • '93-'98, not '90-'95.

  • Actually '92 to '98.

  • i don't know, but its the intro i grew up with (born in '92)

  • Im not sure if I saw this episode.

  • i did!!! always when i was little born in 97 lasted til 2004 for me

  • "Sesame Street" finally got another new opening sequence! It's more of a hip-hop version with grungy NYC animation and a lot of Muppets. It isn't that great, but at least it's not cheesy like this Calypso opening!

  • how long has Maria been in the show?

  • I think Maria's been on the show since 1971 or so.

  • I agree with you

  • "Right after this yucky cute song." -Sally Messy Yuckyael.

  • The song's not yucky, but it is cute.

  • I don't blame Elmo for this. I blame parents that Bubble wrap their kids so they don't get hurt, and don't let them even eat cereal cuz it's too unhealthy.

  • Well, I for one LOVE this opening theme and the wonderful "Around the Corner" years. Heck, it's my childhood. And for all who can't handle the wonderful 90's Sesame Street, ...get a fucking life.

  • Sounds like those grouches must've influenced you. :) Seriously, it's just a TV show...no need to get so snippy.

As for my thoughts: The 1992-93 season was still good (this episode's a classic for sure), and I actually kinda like the opening sequence, even though it signaled the end of an era. The "Around the Corner" era is when the show started to go downhill for me, but I'd still take those years over the 1998-present episodes any day.

  • o the old song. it's funny when it shows oscar's feet at 0:51

  • Honestly I can't stand the intro theme in this. Also by the time this came out Elmo started becoming annoying.

  • And the ironic thing is, when they retired that intro in 1998 and went back to the old theme song, they introduced "Elmo's World" during that season!

  • Yeah, and by then almost ALL 80's material was retired.

  • Yeah, but I still got to see some classic stuff during that period. I know they even showed an early 1990s "Mysterious Theater" skit in a 1999 episode. After that, those skits were never rerun.

  • Yeah, they still air some of the classics ocasionally today like "Bert's Blanket" and Rubber Stanp#20

  • As well as "The Alligator King" and "Do De Rubber Duck" (with appearances by Kermit and Guy Smiley!)

  • This is the Sesame Street theme song I grew up on. Man, why can't Sesame Street be like it used to be? 60-minute plot, hilarious shorts, and fun songs. Ah, well, we got the classics.

  • AHHHH in the intro my sister is in sesame street in that scene of the baseball one. she is in the pink dress at the fence!!! also she was in big bird on doing a play of bye bye birdie if people remember that! whats that title called like i am not kidding

  • oscar the grouch simply rules.

    his face expressions are rad.

thanks for posting so many sesame street vids!

  • This opening sequence IS pretty yucky, just as Sally says. But at least this episode isn't from the awkward "Around the Corner" years.

  • hahaha big bird is like 8ft tall, lol, never really thought about how massive he really was until now

  • I never liked what they started doing to the opening theme in the mid-90's. And as a kid I didn't like Mr. Hanford- I thought he was grumpy a lot. But maybe that's why he took such an interest in Oscar? hehe

  • I liked the intro until they stopped using it. Why did stop using the old intro.

  • Marty Robinson is hilarious in this

  • i like green guy he look make joke to die

  • right after this yuck cute song booooo is funny.

  • man. i remember the theme song 10 years ago. i remember big bird's face in the beginning

  • Oh Mr Handford! I know him from childhood! Oh I miss him!

  • This one looks like a candidate for crosslisting with my "AWWW!" clips...four stars!

  • What is Oscar doing with milk that isn't sour, and therefore fit for consumption?

  • Thanks for uploading this. Could you upload episode 3136 if you have it please?

  • LOL! That kitten WAS so cute!

  • Would you mind giving me all the other segments that were on 3120?

  • There was the Island of Emotion sketch that was already posted.
