AP on my mission, BYU grad, married in the temple...had my name removed 4 years ago....Hebrews didn't come in boats and submarines to the Americas to settle large cities....I hear a lot of you guys talk about truth and such...I've found that my friends who REALLY search for it, always end up leaving the church...as soon as DNA studies of native Americans became available, most of the rest of my family actively or passively left...if you're truly smart and educated, you'll do the same

We all decend from one common human being and thus we can agrue that our DNA is all derived from one common thread, over time it is mutated, subject to natural selection and changed from age to age. Sometimes begin educated means you are skeptical of scientific evidence. Gallileo did just that by challenging the evidence the scientific community on thier evidence that the sun revolved around the earth which was indisputable. Gallileo was right though.
We may have an advanced society, but our scientific system does have its flaws. Often, I find that many who have a predispositioned scientific theory, and are proven wrong in that theory by their own research, they conduct thier study in a manner which if fits thier predispositioned theory becuase they don't want to be wrong. It happens in history, political science, chemistry, biology any academic field you can think of. Fact is, if you believe everything you hear, you are not educated.
The search for truth goes way beyond doing research and reading, much of it is critical thinking and examining every facet of the issue at hand. People think they are smart because they read and do research but that is only half of it. You have to ponder it and use critical thinking, a skill which is becoming more and more scarce in people these days.
Critical thinking tells me it's impossible for a guy to live in the belly of a fish for three days.....also tells me there is absolutely no factual evidence a bunch of Hebrews sailed to the Americas in boats and submarines, built vast cities, had enormous armies, and then vanished...leaving no trace of their existence...I know Mormons often use Aztec, Toltec, Inca, and Mayan artifacts as "Book of Mormon proof"...but it's just not there..anywhere for the poor damn Mo's..another revision perhaps?!
I guess the obvious thing for you to do is continue to keep your fingers in your ears and with your eyes closed...scream, "There IS a Santa Claus"! like a 12 year old...hey, I had to do it for more years than I would have liked, so I can empathize....all I can tell you, having lived in both worlds is it sucks to be you....I'm serious, the feeling from having to ACTUALLY look for truth and finally finding what it isn't, is truly wonderful...and, no, I'm not a born-again..just a true free agent

Heaven and hell do exist but we choose where to go it is much easier then you think to get to heaven. Hell is something that is just as real as heaven is and the fact that you think that the bottom celestrial glory is hell is false. That heaven is something more materialistic.

The goal of the conference was to help the youth strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ through learning, service and fun. The service project was at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, where the youth recorded names and dates from the headstones.
This project also helped Justin Pettitt and William Carver, two of the youth attending the conference, with their Eagle Scout project.
Several keynote speakers were in attendance.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints held a three-day conference recently for local youth ages 14 to 18.
The conference was held in Friendswood with 425 youth and their leaders from all over southeast Texas participating.

The hebrews looked at people of higher authorities like rulers, judges and councils as gods. the same word is found in Psa 82:6 and repeated in Jhn 10:34 by Jesus who is speaking about the Law to the teachers- Please read in context don't insert your own understandings that don't exist in scripture.

I'm talking about the Deity contrasting the root meanings how hebrews represented rulers and councils of the time. The Hebrew word Elohim ALWAYS means God or Gods, never judges. That is a later interpretation from the Targums as Cyrus Gordon proved way back in the 1930's. The Council of the Gods passages you are using shows Elohim means God or Gods. THAT is perfect Hebrew.

AP on my mission, BYU grad, married in the temple...had my name removed 4 years ago....Hebrews didn't come in boats and submarines to the Americas to settle large cities....I hear a lot of you guys talk about truth and such...I've found that my friends who REALLY search for it, always end up leaving the church...as soon as DNA studies of native Americans became available, most of the rest of my family actively or passively left...if you're truly smart and educated, you'll do the same

I am no scientist, but I am a historian. We all decend from one common human being and thus we can agrue that our DNA is all derived from one common thread, over time it is mutated, subject to natural selection and changed from age to age. Sometimes begin educated means you are skeptical of scientific evidence. Gallileo did just that by challenging the evidence the scientific community on thier evidence that the sun revolved around the earth which was indisputable. Gallileo was right though.

We may have an advanced society, but our scientific system does have its flaws. Often, I find that many who have a predispositioned scientific theory, and are proven wrong in that theory by their own research, they conduct thier study in a manner which if fits thier predispositioned theory becuase they don't want to be wrong. It happens in history, political science, chemistry, biology any academic field you can think of. Fact is, if you believe everything you hear, you are not educated.

The search for truth goes way beyond doing research and reading, much of it is critical thinking and examining every facet of the issue at hand. People think they are smart because they read and do research but that is only half of it. You have to ponder it and use critical thinking, a skill which is becoming more and more scarce in people these days.

Critical thinking tells me it's impossible for a guy to live in the belly of a fish for three days.....also tells me there is absolutely no factual evidence a bunch of Hebrews sailed to the Americas in boats and submarines, built vast cities, had enormous armies, and then vanished...leaving no trace of their existence...I know Mormons often use Aztec, Toltec, Inca, and Mayan artifacts as "Book of Mormon proof"...but it's just not there..anywhere for the poor damn Mo's..another revision perhaps?!

Keep quoting other peoples work matter of fact thats all mormons do the conference the books they write is a revolving belt of defense. LDS views based on other LDS people and what they said. Its also funny how they try to get other people to invest money into buying the books . They also rewrite history a little to fit what they are saying. Every conference i have seen is basically a rotating belt of defense and why they personally believe it to be false and what another LDS person said.

You might take comfort in having many wives in celestrial heaven and all the sex you want I know that you get aroused by that. I don't take comfort in that I take comfort in that God is the only one God and the only one in control. Heaven and hell do exist but we choose where to go it is much easier then you think to get to heaven. Hell is something that is just as real as heaven is and the fact that you think that the bottom celestrial glory is hell is false. Hell is a very real and the descriptions make it clear is a place of torment. Basically you are saying that God is a lier that hells description in the bible is false. That heaven is something more materialistic.
