10 years ago, Diesel was 15p cheaper than unleaded ! So lots of people bought diesel cars... the goverment realise this and then slapup the diesel prices . they are just a bunch of conning rip off scum and we need to get these fools out of our goverment. We all saw how corrupt they were with the self assesments scam.... just because that was made public, you think thats its going to stop ? if so youre more stupid than the goverment. I don't think you can blame this on the UK government because prices are going up in the US too so it's either speculation driving the prices up or the oil producing countries intentionally producing less so they can charge more.

@shanepaulcoward Absolutely spot on. Couldn't have put it better myself! The economy is like an engine, with money being the 'oil'. They have taken all the money out of the economy and the banks are sitting on it so that the 'engine seizes', the pound drops in value until it reaches parity with the 'Euro'. We will then be told we have 'no choice' but to join the Euro Currency to effect a recovery. The banks will lend begin lending again, and we will have a 'mini boom'. IT'S ALL ENGINEERED!!

@globalbankfraud Scarey prospect! The whole 'EMP thing' is going to be a bit of a lottery, because if it strikes, it will only affect 1/2 to 2/3 of the planet, which will change the demographics of power considerably. Doesn't bear thinking about! I think where it strikes will have far more say in whether you survive than any personal preperations you can make. I'm lucky enough to live rural with poultry, vegatable patches and water from a stream. Doubt that would be enough...

@MODTRASH that will suit the government fine, more gov laws/plans & control of the citizens... the massve failure of governments worldwide should be clear to all by now, governments knew about peak oil back in 1970 & did nothing to prepare due to their friends in the oil business & lobbying etc...

its about time we realized government has long outlasted its usefulness, all they have left now is more & more fascism/communism & if we let that happen our kids are screwed
