@DjCroatia1993 What gave god free will? I don't like the idea that their is a divine philosopher in the sky judging people. If what you say is true, there's an infinite regress which ultimately makes god not the giver of life and free will - there will always be a successor, it starts somewhere. As far as the free will argument - please read See Galen Strawson's "Luck Swallows Everything" ... It's a great overview of that debate.

@pandaland1 It was a lot more common for there to be respect among adversaries in that age because war was almost as much a social event as it was an opportunity to gather resources and land. Enemy leaders frequently met and talked as friends, which you never see anymore. I think it just goes to show how different the world culture of today is, and that we view even base concepts such as life and death as entirely different things then the humans of the past did.

Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb, or just Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn for short (less formal).
And Saladin is the phonetic spelling for non arabic types. He was called by all of those names and many more I sure. Don't be ignorant and think there is one one way to do or think of things.

There is only one God! How then can they be different? The french word for God is "Dieu". In spanish they say "Dios". In Hebrew translation for God is "Elohim". In aramiac, the language Jesus spoke, the word he would have used to say God is "Ellah". The arabic christians use the word "Allah", so do Arabic Jews and Arabic muslims. Allah is the literal translation of the enlighs word God, the one true God, God of Jesus, abraham, moses and Solomon. The God of israel, the God of Muhammad!
