  • boring game. I just fought Demise yesterday and couldn't believe how easy and boring it was. Demise only had two stages of the final fight and there was no temple/castle to complete before fighting him

  • Just checked your videos and I can say they are all very good. Unlike other reviews I've watched, you review each game fairly and points out the games good and bad. Hoping to see more PC games reviewed by you this year. Thumbs up!

  • after playing the xbox 360 for a while (dont hate on me im still a nintendo junkie xD) so the graphics did seem to be a little glitchy.. epecially the sky in lanayru dessert.. maybe its just me being picky tho xD

  • i have to buy a wii u strictly for nintendo titles.. idc if every other game is shit i just love nintendo

  • the only time i found dialogue completely annoying were the vendors in the bazarr. THAT and everytime you returned to playing after taking a break. the game insists on explaining every item you have already picked up before. Dialogue pertaining to the story I didn't mind AT ALL Because I love the zelda stories. Come on people, are you reading one word per minute? it doesn't take that long to read a couple sentences.

  • @spilldose Agreed, the text speed was mainly annoying when you had to listen to certain people multiple times.....THE POTION LADY HAD THE WORST VOICE!!! That alone isn't that bad, but I have to go their multiple times!

  • Text speed was slow? Did you guys forgot about OoT? Sure you could skip some dialogues (most of the time possible only because you've already talked to the person). But how freaking long it was to talk to each Gorons in the Fire Temple and the imprisoned workers in the Gerudo Fortress.

  • @DarkLlyud To me, it's not really the text speed that annoys me, but there isn't really anything to speed up or skip texts that you have read already....It gets annoying at times.

  • @Tooopper I admit, the shops in Skyloft were kind of annoying in particular. However, the dialogues in OoT were getting more on my nerves than those in Skyward Sword (I've recently restarted to play OoT).

  • @DarkLlyud It's not really the dialogue that truly annoyed me. It's the fact that you can't speed through repeat conversations like you can in the other games. Repeat conversations, after a thousand times, start feeling sluggish when you can't skip or speed through it. The dialogue for the story and just about everything else was awesome.

  • to those who don't like the "shield bash" attack: note that you can play the entire game without a shield. There are no parts in the game that require a shield.

  • @recontranaso I effing loved the shield bash. I liked how just blocking with the shield wasn't enough to fight effectively. That, and I suck at this game, the shield saved me multiple times (I would have died so many times if it wasn't for that Hylian Shield)

  • The dungeons are by far the biggest let down of this game. BY FAR.

just think about it, the only dungeon that felt nearly worthy of a zelda game was the earth temple.

others were just badly done. the factory dungeon was definietly one of the worst in the series. come on, a factory? My favourite parts were going to the lumpy pumpkin and exploring the islands. BUT then again there are only 3 islands in the game and 2 with actually something to do(Yes, a floating wheel isn't an island)

  • @randomer24700 So....you're basing your whole opinion on dungeons on what you think is the proper scheme in a legend of zelda game? Sure it plays a tiny part...but honestly the puzzles in the factory were by far some of the best in the series. PUZZLES in the dungeons is truly the center of what makes the dungeon designs.

  • @randomer24700 To me, the dungeons were actually some of the best. My problem was that there weren't more islands to explore in the sky (or on ground). It was mainly Skyloft, the Lumpy Pumpkin, and the mini games (which I never visited). I loved playing through the story, but when I wanted to break from it for a while, the only interesting I had to look to was Skyloft. I don't know if it was the Wii's limitations or something, but I wish there was a bit more exploration.

  • @Tooopper It couldn't be because of the wii limitations because twilight princess had a very large area to explore, a very large overworld also.

  • @mastersword12345 Good point, still, regardless of the reason, whether it was time, laziness, or whatever, I would have liked to see just a little more exploration. The game had many places that felt like they were worth exploring, only problem was that the only place that I enjoyed learning more about is Skyloft.

  • I can't get past the dialogue. There is too much wasted time with unskippable cut scenes and will probably never finish the game due to the sheer frustration of being force fed those cheesy lines. Zelda is incredibly annoying and was grateful she had been taken. They can keep her! There are also way too many hints. By the time the hints are reached, I had already discovered what was to be discovered, leaving me to repeat over and over again "YOU DON'T SAY?" I expected better. Waste of money.

  • Where is your top ten games of 2011 vid?

  • This guy obviously hasn't played Wind Waker

  • This isnt battlefield with only graphics to impress people. This is zelda.

  • I fucking HATE swimming in this game. I was really disappointed that they just re hashed the same places over and over for the majority of the game.

  • why cant zelda just stay in the kitchen?if she does all this could be avoided .

  • 5:28

the motion graphics?its called video, my friend :)

  • @angelogarrigosx Haha, whoops. I meant to say motion controls ;-)

  • Guys, it's the Wii. I'm sorry it can't be like faggy COD, but that's what I like about Zelda. It's not suppose to be realistic in the first place and they did the best with what they had. Plus, the story matters way more than the graphics.

  • Really loved the review, but you kind of sounded like a whiny baby when talking about the motion controls. If you doesn't respond the way I wanted it to, I just go on with my life.

  • thumnail looks like ur driving a car

  • @fossilfern don't wave... Just swing

  • I enjoy the game a lot and im a huge fan but am I the only one who doesn't like the controls ? Dont get me wrong they do work but after about 2 hours of play I dont want to be waving my arms about like a mad man.

  • I think is a good game but everyone complain about things that are not imortant to enjoy a game like graphics, reading alot of texts, between other things.

This generation spoiled us in every aspect.

    Bye!!!

  • @liddokun2 Graphics: I think sometimes it's big. I like something nice to look at (whether from realism or great art direction). Sure it's not as big as gameplay, but I still want some effort.

Texts: I have no problem with reading, but in this game, the speed is slow, making lines that we have to read multiple times annoying to get through.

This generation did not spoil us, I personally think the companies are spoiling themselves by making rushed, half-assed greedy decisions.

  • @Tooopper Every generation are made by the companies you mention and also for us for letting them do whatever they want.

That is the reason i think this generation spoil us because The companies spoil us an also we let us to be spoiled.

That is why i play games that are not popular or are not the best according sites of internet (IGN, Gamespot, Gamtrailers, etc...)

    :-)

  • @liddokun2 Look, you're only making excuses here. What made Ocarina of Time so important in its heyday WAS the graphics. They were just revolutionary at the time. graphics have always been a cornerstone of gaming, that's why we expect better graphics with each generation of consoles. you can't deny that graphics help get you engrossed in the game world. Also, reading through lines of unnecessary text IS annoying, and it DOES break up the flow of a game. It doesn't matter that the game is Zelda.

  • @blancmage31 Graphics for me are not so important for me it is if get fun and if it is like a kid for me better. the last game i felt like that it was mario bros for wii and i played it one year ago.

Right now every game i played are enterteining and every one mistake that with fun. that was why ocarina of time was for important for me, not for the graphics i have to admit that they help but that is no enough.

Unnecesary reading? mmm... that depends from everyone

  • @kd3526 The formula doesn't work for everybody. Understandable.

  • Looks crap

  • iiiiiiiiiiiiidiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiioooooooooooootttt

  • Thumbs up for hero quest mode!

  • Yeah, I was once a huge Zelda fan, but I got to be honest. This game looks like a highly animated piece of shit (similar to wind waker). It also angers me that I have to use a Wii too play this game. I mean the wii is an okay simulation of gaming, but I would much rather use an xbox 360 with a game like Zelda. Nintendo needs to go back to design's like the N64 and the Gamecube. This definitely wont be a game I will be buying.

  • In this review you seemed to speak slower and cearer, keep it up.

  • Keep up the good work man ive been following your channel for a while now and have seen dozens of your reviews. Your reviews are great!

  • This review was very racist and i was very offended from what you said, i hope you think about what you did because it was injustice and just evil LOL

  • All I read was the first page of comments. Why is everyone arguing instead of talking about this amazing game?

  • Gaynun?

  • I say this again: Zeit's review's are awesome and in depth with his own perspective as a gamer and also yeah, screw haters. Keep em coming Zeitgeist, lol:) -loyal fan:P

  • @azzimaz There's a sucker born every minute. Seems you were one of those unlucky.

  • Wow. Fantastic review!

  • I love that this is a none bias review. It was nice and fair and wasn't all over SS's jock. I don't need to be told the game is perfect and has no flaws, because those games don't exist. As a Zelda I'm happy with this review more so than OTHER reviews.

  • was just thinking of thois reviewer when i stumbled upon this

  • I used to play Zelda. Then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • bland? how are such colorful visuals bland? -.- you and your texture fetish...

but still, i was pleasently surprised by this review :) didn't exspect such a wii hater to give it such a good review ^^

  • is this game longer then twilight princess? plz answer

  • @RRPGReviews Why? I gave it great praise. Are you saying that you didn't like Skyward Sword then?

  • @ZeitgeistReview No, it's not that. I really enjoyed Skyward Sword. I do like your praise of the game, don't get me wrong, but I feel there are some things that I don't agree with you on. Like saying the graphics are not HD when it's on the Wii console and the wish of playing the game on a regular controller when the game was all about the Wiimotion Plus and Nunchuck being used to hold a sword and shield in hand. That is what Nintendo said the game's primary focus was.

  • @RRPGReviews I wouldn't give too much credence to Zietgeist's reviews. Don't let his smoke and mirrors show fool you. The quality of his presentation is by no means a reflection of the quality of his content. He's simply another camera ham who wishes to get attention. He has mentioned several times that companies have sent a copy of the game for him to review so it's no wonder as to why he sugarcoats nearly every game he "reviews". In other words Zeitgeist is another dime-a-dozen reviewer.

  • @ArcadeAges Look, if you don't like his reviews then just don't watch it. it's as simple as that, you could always check out the mainstream reviews from all those big gaming sites. I for one really appreciate his reviews since he presents it from a gamer perspective and never sugarcoats things.Yes, there may be a few things he might have overlooked here & there at times but its only natural human nature. What matters is really the feel and value of a game he often presents in all of his reviews.

  • @azzimaz The good old standby "If you don't like it, don't watch it". Though you are correct, I don't like it. That's the thing, I don't rely on reviews to get my information on games. I like to do a thing called "play it for myself". I know, it's revolutionary, but I think one day it will catch on. Zeitgeist is no "gamer" by any definition. He's one of the more ignorant and uninformed reviewers I've seen. As I've found out, he's merely out there for views and notoriety, nothing more.

  • @ArcadeAges So by your own retardedly stupid definition we all (even non fan's of the franchise/newcomers to any franchise of games) have to just go out there and buy the game, all $60 of it, without having even the slightest clue of the true worth of the game ie; is it worth the $60 I BLINDLY spent without any informations whatsoever, just so I could "play it myself"??? Sorry, are you terminally RETARDED or sumthin??? I just have to ask because you seem not to know the reason reviews even exist.

  • @azzimaz Well I've assembled a crack team of YouTube monkeys to scour my previous comment and they have come the conclusion that nowhere in said comment did I state you had to buy every game for $60. Though your effort in putting words into my mouth is kind of flattering.

Have you heard of this new concept called "renting"? It where you go to a store, pay a minimal amount of money, "borrow" the game for a set amount of time, and then return it. I know, this is mind blowing stuff.

  • @ArcadeAges Again, douchebag IGNORANT comment.have you ever heard that not every country around the world has such rental services moron??come out of yer high and economically bleeding western world genius. I'll say it again so your limited brain could comprehend: not all countries around the world offer game rental services, and in countries/regions as such we gamers have only two choices;either buy it or not buy it.there's no such thing as "testing" for a majority of us around the world.

  • @azzimaz Awww and now we've progressed to the point of the conversation where the other side calls the other side names. Such a sad sign of desperation.

  • @ArcadeAges I don't rely on reviews to make my purchases as well but I still watch them because reviews are not just that; to decide to make my purchase solely. they are more than that. a good review gives you the good and bad of a game no matter how mega awesome GOTY material the game is. Game's are now very expensive all around the world, gamers just can't afford to blindly spend $60 just to justify this whole "play it out by themselves" nonsense you seem to be spouting out.

  • @azzimaz Sadly this isn't a good review because the source of said review is an ignorant hack.

Here's another suggestion. Now bear with me this might be a little too radical but read on. Let's say you had some friends, I know this may be a stretch, but these friends owned a game or games you didn't. Now let's say you either borrowed or went over to their house to play it? Then after you were done, you could give it back.

I know, yet again mind blowing stuff. Just think it over cupcake. Thanks.

  • @ArcadeAges funny how you're now going on to assume that I do/do not have friends and worst:assuming that gamers are bound to have gaming friends.wow, you are definitely brain damaged.what if I say I don't have "gaming" friends per say? as in all my friends aren't interested in game's and we share other interests such as goin out for drinks, partying and women??again, your logic bleeds RETARDEDNESS,hahahaha. pfft, whatever don't bother replying,I make it a point not to argue with confirmed retards.

  • @azzimaz Boy you're just all out of luck aren't you? No way to rent video game online or offline, no friends or family in which to borrow games, just you, your computer, and the internet. And not that good with grammar either. You live a hard life sir.

  • @ArcadeAges Bottomline as much as highly lauded any games are we as a buyer must be able to personally feel the true worth of the games ultimately. Will it appeal to us in the long run,etc and not justr blindly give our moneys.

  • @azzimaz Well please review my two possible options for playing the game yourself. As I've said I fully understand they are a bit out there, but I think they may just work for someone as hopelessly lost as yourself.

Though please, don't let me stop you from enjoying Zeitgeist's Gaming Ham It Up Extravaganza. He's cheesy shit eating intro pics truly bring something new to video reviews that somehow just makes me want to trust him.

O.K. maybe not but he certainly tries doesn't he?

  • @ArcadeAges

While you're entitled to your opinion, I don't see why it matters if he gets early copies.

  • @TheGravitationist Because he uses these early copies to get free game and review them positively to get more free games from the publisher. He's in it for the money my friend.

  • @ArcadeAges your opinion has no validity to it though, you have not shown ZGR to be ignorant in any sense of the word, you might not like his reviews but you have no basis to say he's solely in it for the money or is reviews ignorantly, enough said

  • @JRJuggernaut1 Whether I have shown him to be ignorant does not change the facts. I've known him for about four years and his ignorance is more than clear. And yes he is in it for the money. He's stated this to a couple reviewers out there and has even gone so far as to threaten them. He's got some serious issues.

But hey, you keep believing whatever you want cupcake.

  • @ArcadeAges if anyone has issues it's you, but hey I'm not gonna judge whatever bullshit you speak of regarding ZGR's "issues." You have not explained why he is ignorant and given the fact that most people would likely disagree with you I don't see how we are to assume his ignorance is clear. And even if he is in it for the money, that's not his main motivator for making these reviews. In other words you have not proved anything.

  • @ZeitgeistReview Why dont u review xbox360 exclusives but u review ps3 ones

  • @tomcatobi I've reviewed several Halos. In fact, I'm posting my review of Halo Anniversary in two days.

  • @ZeitgeistReview THIS IS ON PS3?????? :O OMG OMG OMG

  • @ZeitgeistReview I looked back eight months of your games and i see uncharted 3 and socom 4. So where is....Oh, I dont know...GEARS 3, FORZA 4,...ETC.

  • @tomcatobi Too many games came out at the same periods of time those were released. I chose others over those ones.

  • @ZeitgeistReview You are making excuses. Gears 3 came out on sept 20 when NO other games where out for at least a week and a half.

You reviewed Dead Island which came out almost 2 weeks after gears and Dead Island also came out on the same day as Dark souls.

You are a Ps3 fanboy. Nuff said.I liked u until i realized this. I am done with your channel dude.

  • @tomcatobi He has a full time job though.

  • @tomcatobi So....you're mad that he's a "PS3 fan boy", but you're clearly a Xbox fanboy

  • @tomcatobi Or maybe he was much more interested in the other games he could review than Gears of War 3.

That an exclusive gets released does not mean its the kind of game everybody is interested in.

  • @ZeitgeistReview Translation, I chose the games I get for free from publishers and give them all a positive score because I'm a whore for the monies.

    Yea I think that's better.

  • @tomcatobi What do you mean etc? I don't remember any other 360 exclusives than those 3? (kinect titles and XBLA dont count)

  • @tomcatobi Cause gaybox360 sucks ass.. and fails

  • @KanwulfGmail

go back to ur bridge troll

  • @InquisitorPrime hahaha u must be retarded... i didnt even started trolling yet.... but i will now.. dont worrie.. gayboxfan

  • @KanwulfGmail

how can i if I dont have an xbox.

  • @RRPGReviews Then youve got problems

  • @ven380 Everyone is entitled to their opinion, slave.

  • @RRPGReviews Says the guy thats getting offended by a game review...and your telling ME to get a life...dumbshit

  • @ven380 Actually, yeah! I'm telling you to get a life! I was entitling my own opinion and you resort to name calling? If anyone is the moron then it's you because your words mean nothing when you resort to name calling. Have some accountability and respect people's opinions, dude. You did not troll me, and if you were then that was incredibly lame.

  • @RRPGReviews but...urmom,,,

  • @ven380 Nice try. Your third insult and you still don't have respect for my opinion. Anyway, I've got other things besides arguing with you. I said that ZGR praised the game nicely, but I don't agree with the fetishes of being only attached to HD graphics and strictly being attached to regular game controllers. Have yourself a pleasant day and play Skyward Sword to know the true beauty of it.

  • @RRPGReviews urmom though..

  • @RRPGReviews urmom..

  • @RRPGReviews Btw i just trolled u in that last comment ...lololololloololl

  • @RRPGReviews you're really speaking out of your ass aren't you

  • @FalconPunch256 I'm sorry; I wasn't listening. Who are you, again?

  • @RRPGReviews A huge legend of zelda fan

  • the graphics style (cel-shading) is HORRIBLE. Every time they make a zelda game with this crap i will not buy it. *shakes head*

  • Dude, did you hear the news? Xenoblade Chronicles is coming to North America next year! Are you by any chance going to review it once it comes out?

  • Of course... Zelda is once again kidnapped...

  • @redshirts23 Actually she's not kidnapped in this one :-) She just fell to the ground. Once she gets to the ground something else happens.

  • woah woah woah, 25 years ago? but.....I thought this dude WAS twenty five years old...I'm so confused right now lol

I like that he viewed the game from a non-fan perspective, instead of paraphasing "THIS ZELDA GAME IS AWESOME" etc etc, and still managed to give it a fair review

  • @VayuPurana I'm 30.

  • @ZeitgeistReview dude....you just blew my mind x__x

  • @ZeitgeistReview Lol take it as a compliment XD

  • Why does link hold the sword out infront of him like that? looks wrong

  • @potatopac Link holds his sword out in front of him based on how you are holding the Wii Remote. So if he holds it out wrong, it's because I was holding the remote in that direction as I sat my fat ass on my couch.

  • @ZeitgeistReview k, cool beans, lol

are you doing a review for the last guardian when it comes out?

    or diablo III?

  • Twilight princess and ocarina of time? the graphics have nothing to do with ocarina of time, more like windwaker and twilight princess

  • ABOUT EFFING TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Really great review. Never was much of a Wii guy, even less Zelda. I'm not a hater, but this review really showed me why I don't like these. I am sort of jealous of people who enjoy it, because that's the best of the world; to enjoy. Keep'em coming! :D

  • at least the flying is better then sailing

  • Loving the game so far, partway through the third dungeon. Also, I think this is worth noting but the new save system is so much better than the one in older Zeldas. I love being able to save part way through a dungeon, rather than having to restart from the beginning if I have to turn off the Wii.

  • Okay.. Zeit, I disagree with you pretty often, but.. ehh.. I'm probably going to try out this game when I have the funds. (And Arkham City, and like 40 other games.. ~~; being broke sucks.)

    Still, props on the review.

  • @otakuploader That's odd, I'd think that most of my subscribers would agree with me often.

  • @ZeitgeistReview Yeah, I'm not saying I'm raging at my computer every review you do, not even close. But I do feel a need to disagree from time to time. For example, I greatly disagreed with you on your review of Skyrim. Even so, I'm still subbing. Why? Because you're one of the few honest reviewers out there, and you are truly passionate about gaming. 'S like you're dead on most of the time, moreso than the writers of GI, at the bare minimum.

    So yeah. That's all.

  • @otakuploader I gave Skyrim a good review. Are you saying then that you didn't care for Skyrim?

  • @ZeitgeistReview Can we drop it? I have Skyrim, and I enjoy Skyrim. I disagreed with some of the flaws you pointed out. HOWEVER, that being said, that is your job. To find both pros and cons, why a game is good or why it is not.

That's all. Please, I really wanna sleep. I've been up for 53 hours straight, and I made a stupid comment. I love your vids and enjoy watching them, so please bro, please, don't hate me because I made a stupid comment without thinking.

  • @otakuploader I know, the dude wouldn't drop it! I am surprised at how much he cares about his subscribers.

  • @ZeitgeistReview OH COME ON!!!! Relax penchod, relax.

  • @otakuploader Are you subscribed to Classic Game Room?

  • Great review.

  • nintendo always has good lv design

  • i honestly don't care about HD graphics, but a standard controller without a fucking screen would be nice

  • @allotheabove123 The screen is pretty neat for some things, so are motion controls. But I don't like games designed entirely for one scheme. Give us Screen, Motion and Regular controller schemes for all games.

  • Wow! I have to thank you. I played the game myself and read some reviews about it. Strangely enough every review had the same content and it seemed like the reviewers didn't even like it, despite the high scores they gave. In my opinion you made the review pretty exact, independent and it was easily comprehensible. Although I think you forgot to criticize some points, I'd like to rank your review with a 10/10. Very well-done

  • To be frank. Zelda doesn't need awesome graphics. I thought Skyward Sword looked awesome. Zelda is suppose to look cartoony. That's how its meant to be played. Get that realistic shit out of here.

  • Yeah, nintendo is just milking Zelda again. Now who want to play Halo4, HaloAE, and the Gears prequel supposedly coming soon, cuz thats sooo different. :P

  • @HPGWellscraft Skyrim, your argument not valid....

  • @IceX92 I love this new fad of automatically rendering arguments invalid because of one word or idea. It's awesome. You can automatically win "debates" without doing any actual work or making any sense! Yayz! <3

  • The thing i found most annoying about Skyward Sword is the relics you use for upgrading stuff. WHY do i have to see that small cutscene for every item that i already have found 20 of each time i start up the game!?!

Think Twilight Princess had something similar but it was the rupees instead.

  • @chronilus I AGREE!!!

  • @chronilus it only happens once per gameplay, once you find one if you find another one on the same through it doesnt happen anymore

  • @MagusSage I know its only once per game session but its still frustrating that i have to go through it every time i start up the game. I dont usually play long sessions so i experience it a lot. Being told that i found some bug or relic and what i can use it for is extremely annoying when i already have 12 of them in my inventory and have been told their use 5 times already.

*You found some bug*Just in case you forgot about the last 6 previous times we informed you what it is here it is again!

  • @chronilus LOL! welll i see your point i have played the game for about .... 15 hours or so in like 10 sessions, but it doesnt bother me too much, but i can see its annoying

  • @chronilus I know right!!!

  • It looks like a 2004 game :/... And don't yell at me that graphics aren't important, they are.

  • @TheVGamer I've never bought a game for it's graphics... or cared once I was playing, in all honesty. It's probably a personal thing.

  • @CannonLongshot Neither did I, there are more important things of course but you kinda get spoiled with games like Skyrim and Witcher 2. That is, unless you're a Nintendo fanboy. They do not want realistic graphics, they want this fairy tale style used over and over again.

  • @TheVGamer I have a Wii and a 360, and cause of my gaming setup the quality is hardly different. Even so, as a Nintendo gamer I have to say I don't particularly want anything out of the graphics in my games other than a) looking appropriate to the game and b) ... Well, that's about it :P

  • @CannonLongshot And as long as you have fun playing games, that's all that really matters.

  • @TheVGamer Exactly. Also, it's great to have a conversation with someone who doesn't share my views without one incident of CAPS LOCK RAGE. Thank you :)

  • @TheVGamer

I think they look better than Twilight Princess.

The very same reason I stopped playing TP was because the graphics were bland, boring and depressing.

The graphics from SS are perfect.

  • You didn't mention anything about the music of the game. From what I've heard it is really good

  • @JAF2425 Yes I did.

  • @ZeitgeistReview oh yeah, didn't quite heard it the first time, sorry lol

  • Im sorry, Item degredation is "an interesting feature"?

NO! Its a horrible addition that is only an annoyance in anything other than an MMO, where it only exists for there to be a penalty for death and combat inflation.

It is annoying to have an item break in a single player game and nothing else. It adds nothing apart from a run back to the city, which you yourself said you didn't want to have to do.

  • no zelda ever will beat Oot or MM,no contest

  • Gotta love that music!

  • Disagree completely about the story. I'm very rarely impressed by the writing and direction in games but both were top notch in Skyward Sword. You can't expect the kind of dense, complex writing that you'd find in something like The Witcher. Zelda functions as a kind of myth, and in this respect it succeeds brilliantly in using archetypes as well as invoking emotions. Link and Zelda's relationship is probably the best written pairing I've seen in a game in years.

  • I think that wii u will be a great console with both hardcore games and the casual... Also give a little credit to casual games they are awsome sometimes

  • @topografer I mean its permitted to play both skyrim and mario no? Both are awsome games with much different depth and devotion levels but both are fuuuuuun.. That's why we play right? I don't have a wii but i love some games i play on my friends! It would be nice if microsoft could combine good casual games with hardcore AAA titles and great multiplattforms! That's what they are trying to do i think... But let's be honest they should put more effort on hardocre than they do lately

  • ZG, I have a pretty large monitor and have trouble judging your reaction from the tiny youtube icons. Could you add the same picture for a couple seconds at the star or end of a review?
