Kelly has one of those voices where she can sing ANYTHING and sing the hell out of it. Carrie is every bit as awesome as Kelly, but they are just different types of singers. I prefer Kelly's versatility, but I am a huge Carrie fan. (I'm an Okie - we have to be!) :) And to correct a previous poster's error: Kelly is the best selling Idol Worldwide with 22+ million albums sold. You can look it up on the RIAA website.

Yes, true, but Carrie has won those in a country category!!! Kelly's category is pop, mainstream...Don't forget thet Kelly won Grammys in 2 major categories, by beating out the greats: Mariah, Mc Cartney,stefani, etc...

I think that is what I said actually. If Kelly were to convert to country, which at this time is the biggest industry to be in. I think she would win alot more awards then Carrie.. It is just my opinion though. I think Carrie is amazing too, but in my opinion Kelly is the better singer. but thanks for the information.

Ya, your probably right, she does need to stick with what she knows best, but she does an awesome job when she sings the country songs with Reba McIntrye, or maybe it was because she was with Reba,who knows. I have always like Kelly and Carrie, I just prefer Kelly's music more.

I agree. Everybody says this season has the best talent, but to tell you the truth, I personally think it is the worst season yet. Nobody could compare to Kelly's season or Clay's or even Carrie's.

it's about time some1 said it. season 7 might have the best collective talent, but it definitely doesnt have any of the best talent in idol history. Kelly, Tamyra, Carrie, Melinda, Clay, Ruben, Elliot, Jennifer and Latoya are on the top of my list. I think Carly could make it on the list though.
