Yes this jikatabi is very comfortable and we have the sensation to be naked foot, it is very pleasant to have the free toes.

The sole of these jikatabi is waterproof and it is the sole also fine that allows a very easy movement of toes. They are excellent for the walking, but would facilitate can be no sports practice for a combat sport....

Hello, I know the site of ayyawear and I plan to buy to myself a pair of jikatabi to them too. The sole is more thick and the leather in the area very well. I think that for the practice of a outdoor sport or in inside they have beautiful models and I like this shape of shoe at the end of the foot.

There was no rubber-soled tabi (jikatabi)in ninja's age.A garden plant craftsman and the building craftsman at the high place use it.I do not think that there is a leather jikatabi(地下足袋） in Japan either.

Young Japanese fashion designers had the idea to put back with current tastes these jikatabi which are at the origin of workers' shoes in the batiment and also for the gardeners. BTW, we don't usually tuck our pants into the tabi themselves. It tends to stretch out the fabric (plus it makes you look like and 80's Ninja wannabe). Try buying a pair of kyahan. I believe they have them in leather too.

The leather tabis can go to the water but are not completely étanche.je possess another pair of jikatabi or I can walk in the water and in the mud with no problem at all ........

they really need to make a hard sole version for tabis, I stepped on a nail once when I had a ninja uniform when I was a kid. That wasnt good, I'm sure theres a way to make them anti-puncturable but still have the rubber on the bottom.
