  • cool clip thanks for sharing ..

  • You know Sato isn't a banzai driver. He was a rookie. And another thing is it always so dusty their? Jeeezz almost looks like Dakar.

  • Two year in a row now that andretti is involved in a lap 1 crash in the series opener!

  • @thepspman116 Also the second year in row that he was either under or on top of somebody.

  • fail :)

  • tey made a 2010 formula 1 game now they need to make a 2010 indy car game

  • the two dislikes were Mario Moraes and Marco Andretti

  • 8 cars took an escape route

  • i recognize that voice....

is bob costass one of the commentators? i might have the name wrong, but i know he commenated NASCAR on espn during the 90's.

  • @kensethmartinfan it's Bob Jenkins, and yes he has been announcing NASCAR and IndyCar for years

  • sato = trouble

just put him in a race car and the crash is arround the corner..

  • Takuma Sato is in the IRL now? The man really has BANZAI!!! tatooed on his resume.

  • @Zamolxx Yeah, and I think he crashed at every single race so far this season. I wouldn't look for him to be back in 2011.

  • The road conditions were terrible very dusty not amazed at all none of them made it throught hte first turn.

  • This kind of racing bores me because there's no room to race. Too hard to pass and speeds are too low. Oval racing rules.

  • . I don't know if the crash was worse or if the fact that the announcers were so casual.

  • marco sux....lol

  • @Bodebodango

Your ignorance and immaturity is incredible. That was my opinion dude, you're trying to tell me NASCAR is a wreck fest and this is a video of every running into the first lap of a race and everyone completely ran over everybody missing the initial wreck.

All these cousin marrying, beer drinking redneck stereotypes are stupid. Indy car goes to Kentucky every year, do I need to rant about how redneck that is?

  • Moraes is an idiot, I dont understand how he's even in a proffesional series. Didn't he wreck Andretti in the first lap of the Indy500 last year too?

  • yeah, they dont use computers in nascar.....but they still have carbs,pushrods,4000 lb race cars(cars that are not even produced by any manuf.,stock???),spoiled rich rednecks, the 610 loop in houston is way more exciting than nascar...whew!i feel better now,if only they had ladies racing........or a jamaican national team...hmmm...

  • spoiled rednecks thank god somebody said it!!!! none of these little fuckers earned there way there.like harvick or stewart. how many dudes didnt eat or lived on the road not many. little rich bitches like laggano and Jr are joke. its the same with open wheel though. You want real racers look into sprint cars.

  • Btw about the medical part, the IRL and indianapolis motor speedway are one of the leading groups in driver saftey! They came up with the safer wall. There is a doc that travels to every race, and the cars can't be in track unless a hellicopter is on scene! I've been at Indy when they delayed practice becuse they were waiting On the hellicopter!

  • @snowmobiler2855 na man thats every race organization even local racing has to be that way. they wouldn't be able to get a license as a sanctioning body if they didnt, its been a question of legality 4 along time. The IRL made the cars slower how ever that doesnt count, its just that way cause mothers wont let their kids watch it when a guy dies at 250, but thats always been racing.

  • NASCAR is boring and pathetic! You have gay boy and butt buddy winning everything!( jeff n Jimmy) cart is dead just like Elvis so GET OVER IT!!! F1 is so expensive and computers still drive those cars!! IRL is the best, except for penske and ganassi winning! I love the IRL but wasn't it supposed to be American drivers on oval tracks with low cost to run??! What happend to that! I miss it!!

  • Irl has terrible ratings, nascar is way more popular. Only reason people watched indy in the last few years was for danica patrick and now shes leaving for nascar like many other successful open wheel drivers had.

  • OK first your a moron danica was not a successful open wheel driver. Second the only open wheeler who has been a nascar mainstay is stewart. 3rd open wheel has a huge fan base ppl are just disgruntled with the shutting down of cart and intergraation with not the IRL, but izod indy series... if you need me to check more of your moronic statements let me know.

  • @backlinelover Danica brought the biggest increase in tv viewers that the series had seen in years. Open wheel racinig has a huge fan basis worldwide through F1. In US nascar gets all the major networks, fox, tnt and espn while indycar gets shunted over to versus while theyre not playing hockey. You telling me thats a huge fan base?

  • @g0ing2n0where you should read more of my comments on the page or maybe think logically, its about money shes a women not a winning driver, ratings increased cause women turned on the tv to watch and men turned it on to laugh, and yes nascar does run racing in the US but only cause of network deals with fox that shut out open wheel. Plus the old man tony george wanted to monapolize open wheel with the help of usac, thats why we saw sprint car drivers form world of out and champ car.

  • @g0ing2n0where by the way you didnt deserve for me to call you a moron.

  • @g0ing2n0where my point being the open wheel fans are out there look at the conversations on you tube, look up a cart race from b4 the integration or even b4 they split in the first place. the honda vs honda thing doesn't help! along with the fact that only two orgs win, which is also the reason nascar has lost viewers. they want to see a field of young and seasoned men going at it in 1000 hp carts my friend. like I said disgruntled .

  • irl sucks

    cart 4 ever

  • for a moment by looking at the video i thought it was F1 from the 80's. These cars look old.

  • @mezacarlos4 THose cars look proper. Low and wide. Unlike, no-overtaking F1.

  • @vhsanddvds74 These cars don't have any downforce compared to F1. Look too much heavy and sloppy. Sorry, I prefer F1.

  • @xBaphometHx Too much driving assists in F1 these days. I have faith that F1 will dump all the little devices that make them so good at handling... because I don't believe the best drivers in the world prove anything by driving some of the easiest handling race cars in the world. Leave driving assists up to the rookies. That's why I like Indycar better, because at least these cars can actually slide WITHOUT contact. More challenge that way

  • @erasetoimprove There is no traction control on F1 for example.

You think that F1 are easy to drive. But I think that it seems so cause they are the best talents so it seems easy for the unexpert eye.

  • @erasetoimprove They haven't had aids since 2008....

  • @erasetoimprove there are no aids in F1 since 2008, no traction control, no abs, nothing. so your argument is based on wrong facts ;)

  • @mezacarlos4 New state-of-the-art cars are coming in 2011 or 2012.

  • @mezacarlos4 haha so true, you know Indy Car isnt a qualifying step for a F1 drivers lic. :P

  • @mezacarlos4 Indy cars pretty much always looked like this =\

  • Nascar is boring, go F1

  • Too bad this isn't NASCAR.

  • i have endured the last f1 race, only dead would i have been more bored ;) , i watch every race, but this was just aweful

  • Indy ROX!!! =)

  • @LUIVALE46 nascar is better :D

  • Nice ♥

  • The track was incredibly filthy. The dust at the start looked like a smoke screen. For the drivers safety they need to vacuum the track like they do for F1

  • They do sweep the tracks, it was the dust from the recently grinded front stretch of the track in order to give it more grip.

  • This race was AWESOME! Great action from start to finish.

  • I don't get it. Most of these racers aren't even Americans. I know Americans can't drive for shit, that's why they aren't in F1 and now their own IndyCar Series is full of foreigners.

  • The IRL and more specifically the Indy 500 has always been full of foreigners, and they have always embraced them as well. The only reason it's named IndyCar Is because that's where the greatest racing in the world started as well as where they are based out of. It doesn't mean that only Americans can drive in it. Also it gives the sport more than just national attention, it gives it a world wide audience. At least we are not like NASCAR, with no diversity except for JPM whom majority hate.

  • fake

  • this is what formula one needs cars with shitty brakes.

  • The marshals look like they are in no hurry to rescue Marco Andretti. This series lacks professionalism.

  • Professionalism? As opposed to what series?

  • F1 and Nascar marshals do a way better job of getting to drivers faster. Nascar has mandatory internal medical evaluations after any wreck. In F1 they free up the cars and helicopter always nearby.

I don't know, maybe it was because the race was in Brazil,

  • IndyCar has infield medical centers as well that are mandatory for drivers to visit after an accident. Also helicopters were on scene ready for the worst.

  • american mid-west dirt-track?

  • -whats up with the dust cloud?

  • They took a grinder to the front stretch to try to give it more grip.

  • look at the way the cars dogde the carbon bits at 00:38 :o

  • f1 > all

  • Computers Driving (F1) < People Driving (Any Other Series)

  • Computers driving F1??? Driver aids have been banned in f1 now such as traction control, launch control every other bloody control 2 way telemtry has been banned etc f1 is no more computer controlled than indycar.

  • Win.

  • @SweetPelican I bet you're one of those rednecks that believes everything they want to hear. What fucking computer can brake/accelerate at random points when needed? What fucking computer can turn under different circumstances (speed, wind, cars ahead)? If a fucking computer can drive like that, where the fuck are the computer driving cars in real life? That's a mighty fucking computer !

  • Wow, first off let's point out your obvious hostility with the overuse of the F word, and constant personal attacks. Now to answer your questions: There are computer driven cars actually, in fact I believe there are quite a few youtube videos about them. Unfortunately, I was talking more about these things called computer assists, which f1 drivers heavily relied on until just recent. The cars virtually did drive themselves with a small effort from the drivers. You really should do some research.

  • actually no they dont pretty much drive them selves .. You need to learn more about the way a vehicle works...traction controll only helps so much...

  • thank you!! I was a nascar fan how ever that little france faggot ruined everything what the hell is that monstrosity they race today the car of tomorrow more like the car of 30 years ago.

  • they are still the best computer drivers in the world...ask any nascar driver.....nascar...the professional wrestling of racing.....

  • @tonystown661

As can be seen by how well Danica faired in NASCAR lol

It takes serious skills to race NASCAR. Problem is that its boring as shit to watch on T.V. Fun to watch if you are there in person but on T.V I cant hardly stand it.

Regulations ruined NASCAR. Use to be fun when they raced actual cars that you could buy at a dealer and the regulations didnt make all the cars exactly the same. Now its like watching a line of ants.. not very entertaining.

  • Shes also a women who pretends to be a race driver lmao.. tv ruined racing its all bout what the family will like not the race fan..you dont see women competing in the NFL...It takes serious skill to race anything even go-carts!!!!

  • bad commentators. they just concentrate on sato and the things going on in the front. surtees was killed by a wheel and if moraes hits andretti on his head he would have had a similar fate

  • This is going to be my first season watching all the Indycar season! What's the difference between red and black sets of tires? When rain tires are on how does the black and red sets "not apply"?

Also in Nascar if there is rain coming they try and wait it out. What's the deal with the clock Indy car has if they have rain tires?!?!?!?

Nascar is cool but with these "Start and parks" It is kinda bewaring and that rule I don't get fully! red and black like sticker and scuff tires in Nascar?!

  • The reds provide more grip, but they don't last as long. And the blacks are just their "normal" tires. When it starts raining the reds and blacks are completely out of the equation.

The reason they red flagged the race was because the track was puddling, they can run in the rain as long as it doesn't flood like it did in Brazil.

I will watch both leagues, for me the IRL is more entertaining because of the speed and skill that is required, however NASCAR's short tracks like Bristol are fun.

  • haha I totally don't know how to eat dick!

  • I think the dust was blinding some of the drivers

  • do somthing about the dust drivers must be going into the corner blind

  • That's Sato for you, he did that to Michael Schumacher once, Michael gave him a slap.

  • Injury

    Racing

    League

  • this is why people should watch formula 1...

these guys are too wreckless with open-wheeled cars. this isnt nascar, you cant just drive on top of another car :P

  • @mrduke044 when can you drive on someones car durring a race?

  • @mrduke044 Umm... If you witnessed the first F1 race of the season, it was pretty damn boring compared to this. :p

  • It was the track not the cars that were boring.

  • @mrduke044 You do realize that the guy who started this whole mess is a former F1 driver-Takuma Sato.

  • @mrduke044 lol, I like to think of indy as F1 meets nascar. IMO

  • @mrduke044

STFU, you obviously haven't a clue what you are talking about

  • Sato is noob

  • Sato is a many year F1 veteran and VERY experienced... probably one of the most experienced guys in the IRL right now. Everybody screws up once in a while.

  • Are you kidding? Sato is FAR better than the majority of drivers in Indycar. He succeeded in F1, which is a LOT more than those indycar guys could hope for.

  • Yea, sure looked like he was a lot better than those IndyCar drivers he wrecked. Tell me something, if he is so good than why doesn't he still race in your beloved F1? Maybe he went to the more competitive series.

  • "this caliber of racing"

    Hilarious.

  • Sato is a kamikazzzeeeee

  • Moraes is an idiot he's gotten into Marco several times, enough is enough .. this kid needs a serious beating then a wake up call.. he pretends he's a race car driver .. Moraes is a joke he's clearly not ready for this caliber of racing

  • Was Marco OK? That was pretty scary.

  • the track crew lollygagged all day to get that car off marcos head. just stupid

  • this is a great example of why street courses are just retarded its just a crash fest for a temporary mainstream audience

  • @joekoooL NAPCAR is a yellow flag fest! If you watched this race today u saw real racing, how it should be run! Moronis is a asshole and Marco should give him a good ass kickin!

  • @Bodebodango NAPCAR? Anyways, NASCAR is not a yellow flag fest, it never really has been. Besides, I'd rather watch NASCAR any day than this. All Indy car is, is 80% single file lame racing with 20% side by side action, where NASCAR is, is 20% single file racing, with 80% side by side beating and banging. Of course in Indy car if you get bumping with another car you'll knock off a wing and crash, or knock off a wheel. This is not real racing.

Besides, he didn't even say anything about NASCAR.

  • @mrmeaty248 Indycars more racing than Nascar will ever be...

  • yeah driving round in circles all day is real racing.

  • @mrmeaty248 Never has been a yellow flag test? 10-12 yellow flags per race are not fun! Side by side racing can be fun, but not for 500 laps! Is this an endurance race or a sprint race? If I want to watch endurance I'll just watch this saturday's 12hrs of Sebring which is way more fun than any NASCRAP race any day. Who would call bumping and pushing racing, you drivers haven't got the machine to race so you push him around? Classless!

  • I am in total agreement with you but you did forget they sleep with their cousins also!

  • @mrmeaty248 Moreover, do you know why street cars today are safer than before? Because they absorb the shock from a crash. Indy and F1 cars are the safest racing cars outh there, I would rather watch a field of 4 cars pushing it to the max in every turn and braking zone than 42 cars turn the wheel 20 degrees to the left for over 4 hours. My god! A child can do that!

  • @dxb002 If a child can do that why are ex indy and f1 winners finding such low success in nascar? You saying juan pablo montoya is a worse driver than a child even tho he battled with schumacher? Or sam hornish jr, 3 time Indy car champion, never won a nascar race. Also open wheel cars will never be as safe as nascar. Henry surtees died in F2 last year and Massa nearly did as well. Having your head exposed is a major hazard. Dont bias facts because of personal interest, that makes you lame.

  • Because they have bad rides Montoya and the rest would kill any of them in rally racing or any other form! Plus NapCrap drivers have the advantage of sleeping with their cousins prior to each race that makes them nice and relaxed and if they win they are promised another romp in the pit lane with a relative! Johnson and Gordon are the only ones capable to run an Indy or F1 car!

  • You can tell when your talking to a NAPCAR fool! NAPCAR is 5 hours of bullshit! Just so the sponsors can be seen, and the red necks can go visit their cousins in the bathroom between beers! The only banging you guys do is your own relatives! U have a yellow every 10 laps again so sponsors get their monies worth, and then the whole 5 hours of useless yellows comes down too a yellow white checkered ending! Whoo Hoo! Lets go get us some kissing cousin to celebrate!

  • who brought up nascar????????/

  • im no nascar fan, but the IRL needs to take to more of the great road courses of North America, Road America, Road atlanta , laguna seca, mosport, miller. Thats great racing and less expensive crashes for the teams, so they can focus on making their cars more competitive

  • You know that wreck reminds me Derek Daily's wreck at Monaco in 1980.

  • Just like last year at Indy. Moraes just isn't ready to race. I'm surprised nothing happened in the paddock. Someone better get ahold of that kid and make sure he's aware of what it takes to compete at this level.

  • @DanWagner1234: He's got what it takes to race in IndyCar. Money.

  • unf unf unf

  • thats not the way its supposed to be done

  • wow, very dangerous accident!
