I got banned on the same date, just before the NXE dashboard. It all suddenly happened when i downloaded the cod 5 beta demo, and apparently they scanned through all the xbox 360's. And i got banned for no reason.

Yah you just have to keep the new side panel with the Item number and such on the old Xbox or remove the motherboard completely I had to just replace the side panel because the new one I got had the HDMI slot. I guess they could check the warranty seal but most of them never even open the box lol.

After having a modded 360 for over a year and a half, I finally got banned. I'm trying to figure out what caused the ban and came up with only 1 reason. I got a burned copy of Gears of War 2. I think GOW2 must have been traceable. Anyway, fuq Microsoft and XBOX 360. All they're going to do is scare off potential gamers with their gestapo tactics. I hope they ban more consoles so the backlash will hinder the company. We (consumers) should always have the power, not microsoft!

Yes I think they are wrong for banning my system. I think it is just as wrong for Microsoft to charge 60 for one damn game as opposed to selling games for at least 40 dollars. Wrong on all counts, to lose a customer who has a modded console is no loss at all. Consoles are sold in very small numbers and at a loss overall. If piracy gets a hold then the format is doomed.PC's can live with a large number of pirate software as the numbers of PC's owners (nearly a billion) dwarfs consoles.The Xbox 360 world wide will be lucky to sell 40 million before being replaced by it's next incarnation and relies heavily on legit software being bought by most owners to be profitable.
