still have my original freeskate with matching indy 215 trucks. very very surfy. a little unstable driving upwind & through tight, high-speed duckjibes, but more fun than the newer version with the wider rear hanger & longer blades. can't wait--miles & miles of fresh ice. only 2 days old. got to get those blades razor sharp for the black ice. say hi to paul mindnich & wish him a happy new year. one of the greatest sports ever invented. unfortunately, it's all too rare.
Once you try it... you're hooked for life. The freestyle stuff is fun, but the GPS speed runs are thrilling! The wider trucks in back make for a very stable platform. The narrow trucks up front make tight turns still possible. Enjoy the sport! The right conditions are fleeting here in NE.
Looks like a lot of fun! I want to try this this winter. Did you build these units or buy them? I can't seem to find any plans anywhere on how they are built? Any help is appreciated...

It's called a freeskate. Only works on ice though, not snow.
