Freddie Mercury is great yes, but Elton is the best. Elton can sing & play rock, gospel, blues, pop, ballads, just about anything. And there is only one other singer that I know could do that, and that was Elvis. When EJ flew to the states in the early 70's, John Lennon was waiting with a red rose, now that's saying something.

well,that may be true, but Freddie would also be almost nothing without Brian May and the others in the band. Brian did acutally make most of their songs like We Will Rock You,Show must go on, Who wants to live forever, etc. John Deacon wrote Another one bites the dust, and Roger Taylor wrote Radio GaGa. Freddie was a fantastic singer and wrote some great songs too,no doubt about that! But he also did get a bit of help from his band,just like Elton did from Bernie.That's all I'm saying ;).
