  • i watched brookside in the 1990s i love it

  • Great memories.

  • There's something creepy/depressing about the original Brookside tune... but thanks for upload!

  • Oooh i do miss Brookside back in its hey day. Best soap around back then. *sob*

  • Oh why don't they re=play Brooky? better than the rubbish thats on TV today !

  • @willybizz because they scrapped it because nobody was watching it anymore.

  • nobody was watching it because channel 4 execs decided to piss about moving it around all the time to accommodate big brother. Just look where that got them - failed soap and a failed reality show!

  • Brilliant! I've heard the early theme tune on You Tube and finally found this one - this is the one I remember from when I was a kid. Remember watching it back then and was the best soap on TV. I'll never forget the Trevor Jordache storyline... or Ron Dixon's dicky ticker and his Angina :) thanks for posting this tune, has brought back quite a few memories of the time.

  • I liked Brookside in the years 1998-2002. I was totally hooked. Shame it finnished.

  • Im glad you think its pathetic but do you know why. this was done back in 2996 with old software so if you want better. you try get better software and do it yourself!

  • 2996?? Are you from the future??? That makes it even more of a shambles!

  • Excellent stuff.. T

  • Sorry i was ment to say 2006. not 2996. my typing error. Now don't go starting with me cause of that thankyou!

  • great , tanks for uploading

  • Dd was Irene Marot not Trene

  • sounds like an old-school sonic the hegehog tune :P

  • How did you make this

  • the ending theme tune used to scare me when I was little because it sounded like someone was coming up stairs to get me when I was in bed with the "boom boom boom boom boom" drum sound, when I parents watched it when I was in bed sometimes on tape

  • Indeed, Mersey TV pioneered the drumbeat before Eastenders was even thought of.

  • Brookside is coming bk to your tv soon on sky 3 on sundays! yeyy

  • where did you here that

  • Bolloks

  • ......Softlad.

  • wow..............thats given me shivers i loved brookie summin magical bout it

  • Hi, Can you send me the Theme Tune please?

  • Aw, this brings back memories! I loved Brookside but it was better in its earlier years in the 90s as changed towards the end and wasn't as good. Bring back Brookside!!

  • i think brookside should be aired on tv again

in my oppinion i think it will get quite a big audience of all ages

  • These aren't the real closing credits... :/

  • But you decided to search in on YouTube to watch a video of it, weird.

  • Actually no, I searched it on youtube after having a debate with someone over a theme tune.

  • my mum used 2 be on brookside she played sue sullivan

  • Love this theme Tune

  • Love the first 15 secs or so before the electronic drums come in..

  • @Richie77777 I was going to say the same thing. There's something so wistful about the synth theme before the drums come in. Love it.

  • great. i loved brookie

  • i used to love brookside it got really violent towards its last years though so i didnt watch it so much

  • one of the best shows that used to be on t.v.

  • best intro's!!

  • They Should bring it back just for one big episode especially for liverpool, coz its capital of culture :) haha

  • this isn't the real closing credits, you made it on Windows movie maker. LOL.

  • Unfortually. I don't have the software from the 1990's

  • I know, I dont think any of us do! lol

    Thanks ;)

  • lol. Its alright.

  • i love brooke my sister use 2 live in liverpool on edge lane we went 2 the close i love liverpool and the people and the shops

  • Did you know Edge Lane features in the opening titles of the 90's? It is the shot with the McDonalds sign

  • i live in a street called brookside an i liked the show-spooky!

  • is it in sandurst I saw a brookside close when I went to visit

  • I was never in to Brookside when it was being aired on Channel 4 but the theme tune is rather catchy in my opinion. I do like to listen to it.

  • I LOVE GOD AND JESUS

  • bring back brookside i command thee.

  • I presume that the Steve Wright who wrote the music for Brookside is not the same one who is on BBC Radio 2? Well, I guess not anyway!

  • lovely!!! :D

  • good remake but not genuine because.

DD Dixon was never billed at Treen Marrot, but Ireene Marrot.

some of the views are of the original opening titles, the closing view in 1991 was of 1 shot of the close.

  • I always used to watch brookside and the omnibus on saturday at 5.00. Wish it was still on

  • me too

  • hey pakax whare abouts is the brookside set in liverpool? no affence

  • good video pakax123 nice tune got any videos of tin head of brookside he played a good part the actor

  • I really don't think that this is genuine. Prove me wrong

  • What is that suppose to mean

  • Roughly translated from Scouse into formal standard english it means "Thanks for uploading this video."

  • Your very welcome.....

  • God I love this music

  • Has anyone got a vid of the last version of the opening/closing theme before the show was canceled?

  • I only got this one and Brookside 1982somewhere under my user

  • I will sort something out for you. I will try to upload the opening and closing titles for.

  • Love the music. A good beat to it!

  • I love tht theme tune

  • This isn't the original set of closing titles, the original was a shot of the close with the roadsign and yellow times new roman style font, like the Brookside logo on this video. Would be better if you pointed it out as a mock...

  • exactly

  • I built this one into my own closing title of Brookside

  • Bring Back Brookie!

  • E-bay sell good Brookside DVDs from the past. They might be beinging back Brookside on boxsets

  • Except DD Dixon's real name is Irene, not Trene.

  • It is Trene, not Irene

  • No, it's definately Irene.

  • Sorry, You were right. Is not Trene. Is Irene, Sorry about that

  • They don't look like real credits from the show. I've never seen the episode but they just don't seem like 1991 credits. They look like something typed on a computer of today.

  • I made the credits on the computer on the Sept 07 2006. They do not like like the credits of today but the cast is real.

  • Ah, I loved the way the old end theme tune would just fade in, with the gentle bit first then it would get all loud with the drums. Fantastic!

Got any more footage of the ending scenes?

  • Only Brookside 1991 with the opening titles from 1982 and the theme from 1991

  • I did upload the first ever opening title and closing titles on the 13/12/06.

  • this sounds better than the first opening title

  • Were they the real credits or just ones that you typed on WMM?

  • They are the real credits from Brookside episode 1000 year 1991. Yes they are real.

  • bring back brook side close

  • I wish Brookside was back. I did see something about being Brookside onto DVD boxsets. The first seven years. Ebay sell Brookside DVDs and they are the best.
