oh dear, i eat less than 1000 per day, but i have never been told that it was an unhealthy amount... they never teach you about this kind of stuff in school

junk food is more addictive then hard drugs? isn't all food more addicting then hard drugs? i don't know anyone that isn't technically addicted to food. but i believe we call those people anorexic.
I just eat the 3 hour diet, works for me. I'm never hungry, I can eat things I like in moderation and I don't have to exercise like crazy. It keeps my body from going into starvation-mode. Oh and I'm losing weight, slowly but surely. The healthy way.
2200 + working out 5 times a week = no fat, tight skin, and a working metabolism that even allows you a treat here and there without storing like a crazy hoarder...
1200 cals a day is just way too little! Instead of reducing the intake to an amount sufficient for 10 year old kids, eat healthy, eat a lot, work out a lot and boost your damn metabolism! If you really wanna lose weight without getting skinny-fat and looking actually worse 6 months after your diet do the following: Lift weights 3x a week, do 30mins to 60mins cardio 3x a week and eat at least 2000-3000kcal worth of nutrition dense food, drink a galleon of water a day and feel healthy !
@showman012 that is a great way to suffer all sorts of vitamin and mineral deficiancies. Also keep in mind weight includes water muscle and fat for truly accurate measurments measure bodyfat not weight. Further more you cannot sustain life on 1200 calories and eventually you will go off the diet and gain any lost weight back.
I don't have a problem with being on 1200 calories a day. I am overweight and have been on the 1200 cal diet for two weeks, funny thing is I have to eat more in order to get myself up to 1200 cals. I eat 2 ENORMOUS bowls of salad a day plus snacking on celery and carrot sticks, I've never felt better. Having said that I don't eat refined sugars or bread. In 2 weeks I have lost 10 Kg (about 20lbs). Its not about how many cals its about getting as much as you can from your cals.
@Chanikanist It seems to be constant but I do have alot of weight to lose. I also exercise quite rigorously. I like to to cycle because it burns more calories in less time. eg. 1/2 hour cycling = 1 hour walking. I'm sure that I'll soon start to plateau.
Congrats on losing 1 Kilo! It's definitely the beginning! Congratulations!
Their is absolutly nothing wrong with a high claorie diet don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The only danger is if you heavily increase your intake without consequently increasing your output, then it's all got to go somewhere. The main problem is the content to be sedintary, moving for anyreason is still moving, and if you can perhaps enjoy doing it, ie. join a sports team, take up an active hobbie or hell even walking up and down the stairs every time the T.V. goes to commercial XD.
Wow what a stupid promotion video. I've been eating 1,200 calories a day and I don't feel tired or deprived I balance my meals into 400 calories each. eating stuff like fruits and veggies, fish. They all have very low calories so I can eat more of each making me full and satisfied. oh and guess what I lose weight! imagine that!? diets are all about will power if you don't have the will to do something its just simply not going to get done.
This is a lie. I am on a 1200 calorie right now. So far I am losing about 8 pounds per week. I eat whatever I want as long as I stay under 1200 calories per day. Will power plays a big role because if you can't control yourself from eating fatty foods with high calorie levels your diet fails. Drink lots of water to fill yourself up. Remember, lose weight feel great!
@showman012 But is that lifestyle an addiction? Could you in all good conscience stop that diet once you reach your goal and have your eating habits set in stone as it were? Where do you draw the line?
@Diabetty115 Now I have stopped after losing 45 pounds. Everyday I go for a walk and stay physically active. I can eat whatever I want(in terms of calories) as long as I balance it out with physical activity.
@showman012 You will damage your metabolism when restricting too many calories. You're brain will be in starving mode and will store every single calorie. Of course you lose weight in a short period of time, but losing weight is all about keeping it off for years. It's hard to find the balance but if you're a man never go under 1800.
