  • Super speech

  • I think the warning about "instant experts" is a good one. I see a great tendency today to think quickly, but not deeply.

  • Sorry but it is quite impossible for me to take you - or anyone - seriously when you say you prey [to an imaginary guy in the sky].

  • She's done her homework, yet some viewers are having nun of it ;-)

I can only commend her efforts to keep up-to-date with real life that's becoming increasingly virtual

  • Non-religious people always seems like dicks to me. I know you don't believe in the bible or anything like that (understandable), but some of the lessons religion teaches are really good, and should be taught. And when has spiritual thought ever been bad for someone?

I was in a catholic school as a kid, and I don't recall being brainwashed at all. I listen to authority, but object when I think its wrong. I wish I hated science enough to twist facts to sound bad, but I say thank God for science.

  • @Suph373 “And when has spiritual thought ever been bad for someone?"

Um, when the thought is "God wills it" and gets people to fly planes into buildings or press the switch on their bulky vests?

And as for the lessons religions teaches...the basic tenet ” be excellent to each other” is one that most people sooner or later stumble upon, spiritual or no. Anyway I would always be wary around people who say they are nice to me bc God told them to. Never know when God will tell them otherwise...

  • @Suph373

The bible's the big book of multiple choice. For example: Do you turn the other cheek, or do you bring Jesus' enemies before him, and slaughter them as he commanded? As far as God and Science goes - Science is the enemy of God because religion always puts their God(s) in the gap. Where there is thunder, for example, that could be the sound of Thor's chariot riding across the sky. Science continually fills these holes, and rejects the concept of faith, and so... they natural enemies.

  • "I don't want virtual God, I want real God"

    LOL what a irony

  • I don't see the controversy here. An online church with a dedicated forum, twitter, and facebook accounts. So what's the big deal?

I mean there are video game sites and other websites that are specific to a certain audience.

  • WTF? who let the idiots on the internet???

  • lol at cell phone going off!

  • Wow I accidentally left this on when i was doing something else. i was wondering why i started prayed randomly. i'm an atheist btw

  • wow what's with the thumbs down for this video...

  • I see her as a manipulator and a lier. Just like crooks who sit behind a computer and try tu lure some innocent people with their schemes..

  • In this year and age, I consider anybody who believes in any religion, backwards, and mentally limited (making only an exception for old people).

  • Oh grow up, unsubscribers. You're just as intolerant as you claim the religious are.

  • Well, thank you RSA for these lectures of faith 2.0. It is good that all topics and voices should be heard. It allows for better dialogue and understanding of religion. As well as the internet might I add.

  • The RSA is an independent, secular organisation which encourages discourse and debate and as a secular organisation does not endorse any particular views put forward.

  • uhhh why RSA...? why? i liked you so much

  • Seriously? Religion does not do anything but cause internal and external conflict. Religion should be personal and not forced on others in the way Catherine Wybourne discusses it. It is those ethnocentric and ignorant views that she presents which are the reason why our world is always in some type of war. If I were in the room, you better believe I would stand up and yell at her while she was speaking.

  • Ash Catherine Wybourne would shay: unshubshcribed.

  • COME ON RSA! Your better then this!

  • Why haven't they included Muslims, Jews, Mormans, etc??? If this is about religions place in the future why is only ONE represented? Blair's group wants to peddle their wishful thinking as something good without providing direct and confirmed results.

The RSA needs to go BACK covering issues that don't invoke empty wishful thinking and make-believe as something worth discussing.

  • How did this made it into the RSA? I'm not unsubscribing just yet. I'm gonna give them time to find someone that argues the other side; maybe. But if this channel becomes a supporter of religious stuff, I just don't want to be part of it.

  • the funniest part of this talk was when I unsubscribed from the RSA channel for promoting an idea which harms and impedes the human race on all levels, creates conflicts between people where none should exist, indoctrinates children by teaching them to obey authority without question or critical thinking, starts wars, and deludes the general population.

And all of this based on a fictional book written by a few illiterate arabs 3000 years ago.

I have 2 words for you RSA: FUCK YOU

  • @psychokilla6669 I am doing the same, for the same reason, fuck you rsa, you suck the life out of the world.

  • @psychokilla6669 I back that up. Great to read there is still some sanity in this world.

  • @psychokilla6669 Part of the beauty of organizations like the RSA is that they present you with information that may be considered controversial so that you can draw your own personal conclusions about that information, and perhaps alter your own perception of viewpoints which you do not share. You clearly came into this whole experience with a closed mind; if you are unwilling to open your mind to other opinions, perhaps it's best that you've unsubscribed.

  • Twit

  • faith: diving people over fictional lines.

  • TonYBlair FaithFoundation...

That explains the negative rating I think.

  • her lisp is probably why she's a nun... sorry i just had to say that...

  • Wait... Whats this "internet" shes talking about?

  • boooooooooooooooo

  • I don't get why religion on the net is being made out to be some earth shattering spectacle. As if "OMG, people connecting on the internet sharing their thoughts, feelings, emotions" is anything new?

It's great that they are using it to spread their ideas with others who seek them, but it's no different than a group of high-schoolers discovering AIM to gossip with their friends. It's nothing to gawk at.

  • People preferably talk to people who share their train of thought. This isn't exclusive to the internet, nor is it anything new.
