What a pleasure to hear such smart artists!

Baltsa, being a mezzo-falcon as opposed to a real alto, has an edge to her voice.

Appropriately she turned that to her complete advantage by acting an edgy and eager Dalila rather than a laid back one...

Domingo, at home with the role and a partner with such insight, gives his absolute best!

Shall we say ON FIRE!!!!!! Amazing performance from the both of them. They also came to Chicago with this. BLEW ME AWAY! TO make matter even more amazing I was in her Lyric Opera of Chicago Debut performance (chorus) of Cenerentola> I cannot even begin to tell you what the reaction was the first time we ran the final rondo with her. I have never EVER felt that again. Nothing prepared me for her Vocal Glory that day...... A room full of people ALL OF US IN SHOCK! Ardis was in heaven! :-)

I heard Baltsa in the mid-eighties in performance (JPPonnelle's Carmen) and concerts and was blown away too.

These were my First operatic experiences and changed my life a bit(...)

As audience we were out of our minds just screaming uncontrolably.
