@courtneydebian I had a great instructor years ago, who made it very clear that you just don't put anything on your head but the sword: no hair wraps, pony tails nearby, cloth, etc. She even discouraged using wax on the blade. Instead, she taught us to practice balance, breath, and steadiness. It means that 1 out of 20 times performing, you might have your sword slide. But it also keeps you honest. Thanks for the props!
