  • cool.................................

  • so, instead of getting yourself a bass you got the whole tree eh?

  • Barre chords are kinda difficult on this instrument, yes? Ha ha ha.

  • beautiful quiet improv, beautifully designed instrument.

  • Very nice sound :-)

  • epic

  • oh my sweet jesus I want one!! its so cool!

  • MAESTROOOOOOOO!!! hermosa armonia

  • the humbuckers sound really good on touch instruments i wonder why some insist on single coils.Very nice build sir!

  • I like how the two pickups are sent through the L and R channels for that cool stereo effect.

  • Is it easy enough to get a course in "luthiery" as it is something i would love to do.

  • It must be living hell to change the strings and tune it.

  • The tone is fine, but most of all I'd say that it looks good. Do think about producing/selling more of them!

  • Interesting design indeed

  • really nice music and a briliant instrument, btw with how many strings is it equipped?

  • It has 12 strings in two courses. Each course is tuned to guitar intervals and are an octave apart. Thank you.

  • Found you through the axon thred, nice inventions, thanks for posting yourself

  • I'm glad you found the nomenclature I use to describe touch-guitar tunings convenient. Congratulations on you build!

    Jim Wright

  • Are you interested in producing them for sale ? I am quite interested.

  • I hope to one day I will sell a more refined version - but I need to evolve the design. There are a lot of little design refinements that are needed.

With my life being as busy as it is, it will probably be two years or more before I build another one.

    Thank you for the inquiry.

  • @TheMusicEclectic

what are these little things that need refinement, the guitar sure looks and sounds perfect... :-s...

  • @TheMusicEclectic I don't know if I have any room saying this since I have no experience in business planning, but perhaps you could show the design to the creators of "The Stick" and see if they could endorse or pay for your idea?

  • It has a nice eastern influence. o:

  • I am guessing that you are an experienced luthier, but if you weren`t,how hard is to design an build your own stringed instrument?

  • I spent more time in designing and planning than in making it. The actual making of the instrument took about 60 hours.

  • @TheMusicEclectic

60 hours? That's like worth almost 3 days of work. It's still a lot. That would be like 60 days with 1 hour of work each day or 30 days of 2 hours each day. 20 days with 3 hours and 12 if you worked 5 hours on it per day. So... it's still very time consuming. That was a job well done.

  • nice job! this should be the baliset, next time somebody decides to remake "Dune".

  • WOW!!!!! that is awesome... Love the name you gave it and the design....

  • This instrument looks like an ancient discovery... and it seems to be shorter than a modern Stick. Good work!

  • You have built an amazing instrument. I love the sound and original design.

  • How much does it weigh and how is it strapped to you?

Cool design and look for the instrument.

  • who's this Frankie??? buy a chapman stick and play... ;-)

  • It sounds like it should be an intro to something (I can relate because I'm the king of writing 1/3 of a song) so I encourage you to take it further!

  • heres the secret of writing a full length musical piece. Make lots of short pieces and when you have a bunch put them togheter as u see fit, use a sledge hammer and crazyglue if you must.

  • That's SO true!! How do you think Metallica did the songs of their firsts albums?
